We invite you to participate in a visionary weekend you won't want to miss, September 5 - 7, 2008! During the weekend, we'll be envisioning our future together as a church and our unique contribution to the community and the world. To kick off the weekend, our expert guide, Susan Beck, Chief Operating Officer of our Association of Unity Churches International, will facilitate a high-energy visioning session for all congregants on Friday, September 5th, from 7:00 - 9:30 pm. We would like to have as much input from as many people as possible, so please put it on your calendar and plan to attend!

Susan will then work with key church leaders on Saturday, September 6th, to craft vision and mission statements from your input. If you currently hold a leadership position in the church or would like to in the future, please consider attending the Saturday session. During the service on Sunday, September 7th, you'll have an opportunity to give your feedback on the vision and mission statements for the church. We highly value your input; so, please plan to be there and take part in this important congregational event!

A major catalyst/block to any spiritual or emotional growth is self talk, the brain's anonymous babble that broadcasts constatntly through our awareness. The moment we become aware of self talk, we become its master. As long as negative self talk hides in obscurity, it rules our perceptions. This workshop explores common self talk messages, invites sharing with others, fosters the electric moment of recognition, and encourages daily maintenance of positive messages toward self.

Presented by Susan Burns, a retired school teacher, training to be a personal life coach. A member of Unity movement for 6 years, she is fascinated with the power of thoughts.
