The markets and atmospheric Old Quarter are a shopper's paradise. | | Days 2-4 | Halong Bay | Jungle-clad Cat Ba is one of the few inhabited islands in Halong Bay. Discover fishing villages, trek through a national park and sip a beer on the beach after exploring the bay's haunting limestone peaks by boat. Stop by the border town of Lang Son. | | Day 5-6 | Hua Shan/Liuzhou | Take a river boat to the isolated mountain village of Hua Shan and stay near a group of wooden Zhuang-style homes.
