Topic: Employer Opportunities for Service Members and Families
Please make plans to join the SAILG in welcoming as our first speaker for 2012, Mr. Ronald G. Bouldin, as he shares with the federal contractor community the benefits and opportunities afforded to employers partnering with the Employer Partnership of the Armed Forces. As a Program Support Manager, Mr. Bouldin assists service members and their families seeking employment opportunities by working in conjunction with human resources professionals representing various employers and agencies across the region. Employer Partnership is about partnering with industry for a shared workforce. It is a human capital strategy for how the Armed Forces and employers can address major industry personnel shortfalls in the private sector and critical career fields in the Reserve Forces. Mr. Bouldin is responsible for implementing Employer Partnership in the states of Texas and New Mexico. To accomplish this mission he has engaged businesses, industry associations, city agencies and Chambers of Commerce across the two states to build a firm foundation for the program. Mr. Bouldin is also responsible for briefing Armed Forces units, soldiers and their families and Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Programs on Employer Partnership and helping service members/veterans contact businesses who hire and support reservists. Mr. Bouldin has had successful careers as a civilian, the United States Army, the United States Army Reserve and the Texas Army National Guard. You won’t want to miss this informative presentation on how this program matches skill sets between Service members and civilian sector jobs and also assists families of service members and other veterans seeking employment opportunities.
