Our AlumniStories DVD cover student life on campus, including: education, rules and regulations, social and extracurricular activities, diversity of the student body, national events, life after college, and impact of college experience on overall life.
The process involves interviewing alumni, faculty members and others with close ties to the college or university, preserving their voices for posterity, and digitally editing in the photographs that show the people and places as they are being discussed. The digitized medium in which the interviews are being preserved has a quality that no written page can match. It is very immediate and very accessible.
AlumniStories really make history come alive. People think of history projects as dusty archives and long transcripts. This is 180 degrees from that type of concept. It is just incredible, for example, to hear your classmates or professors in their own words talking about some of their memories on campus.
“There is no uninteresting life. It is a virtual impossibility. Inside the dullest exterior, there is a drama, comedy, and tragedy.” Mark Twain
