Your adventure begins in Cape Town with a three night stay. Enjoy a tour from Cape Town to the Winelands as well a trip to Cape Peninsula. You will have time to explore the city of Cape Town before traveling by air to Kruger National Park. Your three nights in Kruger offers ample time to participate in safari drives, seeking the Big 5, whilst enjoying the amazing African landscapes. From Kruger will you will travel via Johannesburg to Cairo for four nights. Come face to face with the Sphinx and view the amazing Great Pyramids of Giza. Cairo is a fun-filled city and offers an array of activities from the Egyptian Museum to the colorful and historic markets of Khan El Khalili Bazaar. From Cairo, travel by air to Luxor where you will board your four night Nile Cruise. Enjoy of guided tour of the East Bank which includes the Luxor Temple complex, and the West Bank which is the site for the Valley of the Kings and the Colossi Memenon. As you sail south, you will visit the Temples of Edfu and Kom-Ombo and enjoy a Felucca around Elephantine Islands. Your cruise disembarks in Aswan where you will enjoy further sightseeing on the High Dam, the unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae before flying to Cairo for one night before your flight back to the USA.

    Day 1: (Wednesday) Depart United States, overnight flight

    Day 3: (Friday) Arrive Cape Town
  • Touch down at Cape Town International Airport, where you'll be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city or famous waterfront and adjusting to the laid-back rhythms of the Mother City.

    Day 4: (Saturday) Cape Winelands

    Journey into the beauty and tranquility that is the Cape Winelands. Sip some of South Africa's finest wines at two well-known estates in Paarl and Stellenbosch. A visit to the Huguenot Memorial and the Afrikaans Language Monument provides a historical perspective. Accommodation: Protea Hotel President or similar (B)


    Day 5: (Sunday) Cape Peninsula
  • A full-day's touring of the ruggedly beautiful Cape Peninsula via the Atlantic seaboard. We stop at the fishing village of Hout Bay, where you can opt to take a cruise (own account) to Seal Island to watch the antics of these natural performers. Then we carry on along the Indian Ocean coastline to Boulders Beach for close encounters with another of the Cape's adorable creatures - the penguins. We drive through the quaint naval village of Simon's Town on our way back to our Cape Town hotel.

    Day 6: (Monday) Cape Town / Kruger National Park
  • This morning you will be and transferred to you flight from Cape Town to Kruger National Park.

  • Full day game viewing.

  • This morning you will be transferred back to the airport for your onward flight to Cairo via Johannesburg.

    Day 10: (Friday) Cairo
  • Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Day at leisure to explore the city.

    Day 11: (Saturday) Cairo
  • Breakfast at the hotel, then proceed with a full day sightseeing visiting the Three Pyramids & their Guardian the Great Sphinx, The Stepped Pyramid of Sakkara, which is know to be the first stone structure in history, and Memphis, the capital of ancient Egypt. Visit the Egyptian Museum the most important depository of Egyptian antiquities anywhere in the world. Your tour also includes a visit to the Citadel of Saladin and Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali before returning back to your hotel.

    Day 12: (Sunday) Cairo
  • Breakfast at hotel followed by a day at leisure. Optional tour to Alexandria or Half Day tour to Memphis and Sakkara (additional cost).

    Day 13: (Monday) Cairo to Luxor
  • After breakfast you will be met at your hotel and transferred to Cairo airport for your onward flight to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor you will be met and transferred to your cruise ship. Lunch will be served onboard before joining a tour of the East bank which includes Luxor Temple and the Temple complex of Karnak which beats every other pharaonic monuments with the exception of the Pyramids of Giza. Transfer back to your cruise ship.

    Day 14: (Tuesday) Luxor
  • Following Breakfast onboard, disembark for a visit to the West Bank which includes the Colossi of Memenon, The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari and the Valley of the Kings. These secretive tombs of New Kingdom Pharaohs were planed to preserve their mummies and funerary impedimenta for eternity. Return to your cruise ship for lunch onboard whilst sailing downstream to Esna.

    Day 15: (Wednesday) Esna to Edfu
  • Continue sailing this morning to Edfu. Visit the Temple of Edfu, which is dedicated to the God Horus. Return to the ship for lunch and continue sailing to Kom-Ombo. Visit the Temple of Kom-Ombo which was built on a hillside overlooking the Nile.
  • Accommodation: Aswan (B,L,D)
    Day 16: (Thursday) Aswan
  • Disembark after breakfast and join a tour of Aswan. Visit the famous High Dam which was an engineering miracle which it was built in the 1960s. The Unfinished Obelisk which gives us a great deal of information about the original builders set about their tasks, and the Temple of Philae which is dedicated to goddess Isis, which was once flooded by the river Nile. Transfer to Aswan Airport for your onward flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

    Day 17: (Friday) Return to USA
  • After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Cairo airport for your return flight home.
