We like to think of Bali as the best of Asia, all rolled into one small island. Beautiful beaches, friendly people, a rich and diverse culture, sumptuous food, breath-taking scenery and a range of great adventure activities give Bali a wonderful diversity. The lucky few, who escape the resorts, realise that Bali truly is an island paradise.

Our Bali adventure starts in the lively Legian Beach, before making our way to beautiful Ubud, a charming hill town considered to be the artistic and cultural heart of the island. Next we take to bicycles and head off along the back-roads, cycling east through stunning countryside of brilliant green rice paddies and lush jungles before arriving in the rural district of Sidemen - a great place for some easy treks. From here we continue on to climb the Mount Batur volcano before heading to the north-coast beach haven of Lovina. This beachside town offers great opportunities for swimming, relaxing, snorkelling and even dolphin spotting. We take a side trip to the coral reefs of the Bali Barat Marine Park and then turn inland to explore the gorgeous mountainous countryside around Munduk and Lake Bratan before returning to Ubud and Legian.

Meals:Allow US$105 for additional meals. On tour we generally do not include meals, as this gives you the flexibility to go out and make your own choices as far as what to eat and where to go and eat. This flexibility reflects the very nature of Gecko's tours. Your tour leader will always be on hand to offer recommendations and, in many cases, organise group meals that introduce you to the local specialities. These meals are optional.
