Giddings Fireman’s Park is a place for family and friends to gather. Where you can ride on an 1800’s antique carousel, have birthday parties and reunions, do a cook-out or a cook-off, compete in tournament sports, experience the best competition in rodeos, enjoy shopping an antiques & stuff weekend, see headliner music shows, see the sights of a ‘Texas Fair With Country Flair”, or just enjoy the shade of the countryside! The site became “ Fireman’s Park” when the 50 acre facility was donated to the Giddings Volunteer Fire Department by the Lee County Fair Association in the 1950’s. The Park is also known as “Airline” having been the location for “Airline Hall”, which was among the oldest dance halls in Texas through the 80’s. The meticulously manicured grounds, offering a covered rodeo arena and showbarn, dance pavilions, food courts, entertainment stages, rental hall, BarBQ pits, RV park, etc. present opportunities for great outings and adventures.
