Much has happened since I first went on the bench in 1986 but some things have remained the same, including the goals I established early in my judicial career…

“To provide consistent and timely service in a courteous and professional manner.” I hope to bring these goals, once again, to the 133rd district court.

Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Warren Burger noted… “Justice is that mechanism which can produce an acceptable result in the shortest possible time with the least possible expense, and with a minimum amount of stress on participants.”

I believe delayed access to courts and long trials increase costs to parties, courts and jurors, denies justice and creates backlogs. A judge’s knowledge and planning are critical to a fair, efficient and timely court. I will bring to the 133rd my skills insuring no backlog, early trial dates and faster trials.

Just as I provided to litigants for over two decades, my commitment to you will be to provide fairness, efficiency, courtesy, and, most important, a firm dedication to the laws of the State of Texas and the United States of America.

I hope I may count on your support as I start the campaign for the 133rd civil district court.
