On first taste, there are many differences between the cooking styles of Italy, Greece and Turkey, but it is the similarities we celebrate on this cruise in the Adriatic and in the Ionian Sea. The cuisines of the Mediterranean have become very popular as more and more people realize the benefits of the region's healthy diet. We explore this diet in cooking classes, tastings of wines and olive oils from the region and many port calls that allow you to sample the variations on a Mediterranean culinary theme. Our guest chef is Cindy Pawlcyn, the award-winning founder of Napa Valley's Mustards Grill, and, as a special Black Sea treat, we give special attention to two luxury items ¿ caviar and Champagne with James Beard Foundation Award-winning writer and Champagne expert Lyn Farmer.
