Location: The Tropical Manaus is situated on the banks of the Rio Negro.

Brazilian Amazon: Iberostar Grand Amazon
Location: Enjoy the adventure of an Amazon experience with all the comforts of a 5-star hotel on board the Iberostar Grand Amazon.
Amenities & Services: All 72 cabins are equipped with private bathrooms, twin beds, private balcony, TV, telephone, hairdryer, air-conditioning, and radio. The ship's amenities include two pools, a rooftop Jacuzzi, two restaurants, two bars, a fitness center, and souvenir shop.

Day 3Rio de JaneiroAn included city tour take you to bustling downtown Rio. View the Sambodromo and the Cathedral before visiting Sugar Loaf Mountain. (B)
Day 4Rio de JaneiroPerhaps take a Guanabara Bay cruise. (B)
Day 5Iguassu FallsA flight takes you to Iguassu Falls. Spend the afternoon enjoying the magnificent panorama of waterfalls from the Brazilian side on a guided tour. (B)
Day 6Iguassu FallsToday on the Argentine side of the Falls, ride the Ecological Jungle Train and enjoy a walking tour of this side of the Falls. (B)
Day 7Iguassu Falls-ManausFly to Manaus, gateway to Brazil's Amazon. Guided sightseeing shows you the opulent sites from Manaus' rubber boom, like Sao Sebastiao Square, Palacio Rio Negro, and the Opera House. (B)
Day 8Manaus (Embarkation)Embark your cruise ship, the Iberostar Grand Amazon. Stops will be made along the Amazon's Rio Solimoes, offering excursions to explore the Amazon jungle and local vegetation, see indigenous animals, and even visit local river communities. This evening, enjoy a Captain's welcome cocktail party before dinner. (B,D)
Day 9Cruising: Rainforest Walk & Piranha FishingThis morning, a Naturalist-guided walk through the rainforest teaches how natives subsist off the flora. You'll also hear about some of the medicinal qualities each plant possesses. Keep an eye open for capuchin and howler monkeys! After a lecture on the region, head back out via panga and try your hand at piranha fishing. Tonight, cruise the waterways on a caiman-spotting expedition. (B,L,D)
Day 10Cruising: Bird Watching & Local Home VisitEnjoy the sunrise over the Amazon on a bird-watching safari in search of the many endemic birds of the Janauaca Lake region. Later, visit a local home for an up-close view of how the native communities live and work. This afternoon, cruise the Amazon tributaries looking for wildlife. Your final evening on board begins with a gala dinner followed by a Brazilian Folkloric Show. (B,L,D)
Day 11Meeting of The Waters-Manaus (Disembarkation)-MiamiCruise the Meeting of the Waters, where the chocolate-colored Rio Negro meets with the yellow-gray Rio Solimoes to form the mighty Amazon. For four miles the differently colored bodies of water flow side by side and never mix! Disembark in Manaus and transfer to the airport for your homebound flight. (B)

Air-inclusive prices do not include a September 11th fee up to $10, passenger facility charges of up to $18, Federal domestic flight segment fees of up to $3.50 per segment and U.S. and International arrival and departure and other government imposed fees of up to $300 depending on your itinerary. Air booked in conjunction with a land vacation is considered an air-inclusive vacation. Air can only be booked by Globus in conjunction with a land package and is only available for passengers traveling from the United States. For vacation departures in 2008, your final air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed when your air schedule had been confirmed and your entire vacation package has been paid in full. For vacation departures in 2009, an additional $250 non-refundable deposit (total $500 non-refundable) is required for air booked in conjunction with any land vacation and your final air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed when your flight information is confirmed and Globus has received your full land and air deposit.
