Upon arrival, our guide greets and takes us to our hotel where we enjoy dinner. Overnight in Mexico City. (D) | | Day 2 | Mexico City | Mexico City : We see the Plaza of the Three Cultures, followed by Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We continue to the Pyramids of Teotihuacan to view the Pyramid to the Sun, the Moon and Temple of Quetzal - Butterfly, before lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight in Mexico City. (B, L) | | Day 3 | Puebla | Puebla : We start with a walking tour of the Zocalo, where we visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace with its famous murals by Diego Rivera depicting the history of Mexico. Then on to Puebla with stops at San Miguel del Milagro and the Shrine of Our Lady of Ocotlan en route. We also see the beautiful church of San Francisco before we arrive in Puebla in late afternoon, where we spend the night. (B, L) | | Day 4 | Mexico City | Mexico City : We take part in Mass at the Rosary Chapel in the Church of Santo Domingo. Later we visit the Cathedral, St. Maria Tonazintla, Cholula and still have time to lunch and take in other Puebla sights before we return to Mexico City. Overnight in Mexico City. (B, L) | | Day 5 | Mexico City | Mexico City : We celebrate Mass at the Church of St. John the Baptist, then climb aboard a gondola for a leisurely ride along the canals of Xochimilco, Mexico's Floating Gardens. On our return to the city, we visit the Museum of Anthropology and pay a farewell tribute to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Later we gather for a festive dinner at the hotel to recap our memorable stay, enjoying an optional excursion to the Folklore Ballet at the Palace of Fine Arts (at additional cost).
