Itinerary Day 1 Start Ho Chi Min City. 2 Ho Chi Minh City tour. Former US Embassy, War Crime Museum, China Town, Ben Thanh Market. 3 Visit the town of Tay Ninh and its Cao Dai Temple. Stop at the Cu Chi Tunnels and experience the Vietcong's underground existence. 4 Explore the waterways and villages around Mytho on the Mekong Delta. 5 Staying on the Mekong Delta, we travel from Cantho to Cai Rang and visit the Phong Dien floating market. 6 / 7 From Chau Doc we travel up the Mekong into Cambodia and on to Phnom Penh with its museums of Khmer art. On to visit the genocide museum at Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields at Choeng Ek. 8 Drive to the old seaside resort of Kep and then on to the Colonial era town of Kampot. 9 Borkor National Park for a trek along this very scenic coast, ending up at the stunning Popokvil waterfall. 10 / 11 / 12 Visit Sihanoukville and take a boat to Koh Rong Samlang Island to explore the deserted beaches. 13 Drive to Kampong Cham and relax on the banks of the Mekong. 14 / 15 An exciting scenic drive into the mountains to Mondulkiri where we can either relax or explore the local villages. 16 / 17 To the charming town of Kratie where its possible to take an optional trip on the river to see the rare river dolphins. On to Kampong Thom, the sleepy provincial capital on the banks of the Tonle Sap. 18 / 19 / 20 Siem Reap; explore the amazing sites around Angkor including Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. 21 Backroads cycle tour exploring the countryside and picturesque villages around Siem Reap; parts navigated by boat. 22 End Siem Reap.
