Well, this is our first attempt at entering the world of blogging! I thought we would start with talking about some random things in the world of travel. It seems like everyone is confused about the new passort requirements. I knew this was going to happen. Why in the world the government caved to the lobbyists, I have no idea. It would be so much simpler with just one deadline. The way it is now, you can walk or drive across the Mexican or Canadian border with just a driver's license, but if you fly out of the country, you need a passport to get back in. You can cruise out of the country right now with a driver's license and certified copy of your birth certificate, but come the end of December '07, you will need a passport to do that, too. Confused? Just get your passport. It's the simplest solution! Look at the bright side... you'll be ready to go anywhere in the world at a moment's notice!

Take a look at our girlfriend's cruise on the main page. It's growing! All the gals seem to crave a long weekend away from family responsibilities to lay in the sun, shop without worrying about having to get home to cook dinner, and sing karaoke off=key with all their girlfriends! We can't wait!

If you're interested in cruising, April is one of the months that cruiselines do their repositioning cruises. The prices are unusually low, and you get to go to some exotic places. European cruises are all the rage this year. The strength of the Euro makes going to Europe on a cruise and paying for it in American dollars very tempting. I, for one, want to try it myself. I love going to Europe, but I hate all the bus tours and unpacking and changing hotels. Going on a cruise ship really sounds like fun. Tommy and I want to do one for our tenth anniversary this year. You know, most European cities on the coast are centered around the port... so it makes walking off the ship into exciting adventures really easy. I feel so invigorated when I go to Europe. I think it's the excitement of learning new things and making history real. If you have never gone, you really should!
More later...
