Baggage Limitations
Domestic Commercial Air Travel, Charter Air Travel, and Amtrak

Domestic Commercial Air Travel

Two pieces of checked baggage are permitted free of charge provided they meet the following size and weight limitations:

Largest bag my not exceed 62 linear inches and 50 pounds.

(linear inches are determined by adding the outside length plus width plus height)

Baggage allowances, restrictions, and charges vary depending upon flight itinerary. Contact the participating airline for specific information.

Each piece of checked luggage must have an identification tag on the outside of the bag and it is recommended to have one on the inside as well.

Carry-on bags must fit securely in the overhead bin or underneath the seat in front of you. They must not exeed 45 linear inches. If your carry-on does not fit securely under the seat in front of you or in the overhead bin the airline may ask you to check it.

*There are charges for excess baggage and overweight luggage for both domestic travel and international travel that are airline and destination specific. Please check with the appropriate airline prior to travel for more information and to prevent delay, confusion, and unexpected expenses.*

Charter Air Travel

Carry-on and Checked baggage allowance are the same for charter travel as for commercial travel. Carry-on dimensions do differ though, and are as follows...

Omni Air carry-on dimensions 9x13x21

Champion Air carry-on dimensions 9x14x22

Our clients have noticed that these baggage limitations are more strictly enforced entering into the United States from Mexico.

A $25 fee is charged for excess, oversized, or overweight baggage.

Amtrak

Beginning November 1st, 2004 Amtrak will begin to strictly enforce their two carry-on, three checked baggage limits on board their trains.
