Greetings from our Tour Director as we drive to Dover for our Channel crossing to Calais in France. We drive through Belgium en route to Amsterdam, where we see the Mint Tower and Dam Square. After a Welcome Drink we enjoy a canal cruise in our glass-topped boat. (continental breakfast)

We head into Germany to Cologne to see its gothic cathedral. Then we travel via Bonn to Boppard for our Rhine cruise past cafestles and vineyards. Finally, on to our hotel in the Rhineland. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

First to Heidelberg to view the cafestle. Next we make our way to medieval Strasbourg where we see the cathedral. Then we enjoy a scenic drive to the Swiss border and on to Engelberg. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

It's only a short drive to nearby Lucerne where we see the Lion Monument, built in memory of Louis XVI's Swiss Guard, and the Chapel Bridge. We pass the Walensee en route to the Principality of Liechtenstein, stopping in the capital, Vaduz. Then we cross the border into Austria and follow the Arlberg route into Tyrol and Innsbruck. During our orientation tour our Tour Director introduces us to a Hidden Treasure! (Buffet breakfast)

Today we drive over the 620-foot high Europa Bridge and along the Brenner Pass into Italy. Next, we travel through the foothills of the Dolomites to magical Venice. This evening maybe enjoy a gondola serenade along the canals of Venice, listening to Italian melodies! (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Today we drive into the Apennine hills past Bologna, into Tuscany and Umbria. Soon we are in the region of Latium en route to Rome. Tonight, why not experience a little of 'La Dolce Vita'? (Buffet breakfast)

Today's guided tour includes a visit to St. Peter's Basilica where we see Michelangelo's Pieta, then we cross the Tiber to see the Forum, the Colosseum and to overlook the Circus Maximus. Then perhaps visit the Sistine Chapel? (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 13 | Sorrento | Rome - Isle of Capri - Sorrento :
An early start through the vineyards of Frascati and into the Campania region. We reach Naples and embark on our cruise to the Isle of Capri. Here we ascend to Capri town by funicular and enjoy a guided walking tour. We also visit some of the gardens and view the Faraglioni rocks. Then we take our ferry to Sorrento, a clifftop summer resort, for the night. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)

Off to Pompeii where a walking tour with a local guide takes us around the excavations. Then past the Abbey of Monte Cassino, we reach the Umbrian hills and Assisi, St. Francis' town. (Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Hotel: Il Castello | | Day 15 | Florence | Assisi - Florence :
We admire the Basilica of St. Francis with its frescoes by Giotto. Next to Florence where our walking tour features the Duomo, Piazza Signoria and a visit to Santa Croce. Then time to shop for leather and gold and later we make a stop at Piazzale Michelangelo for panoramic views. (Buffet breakfast)

First to Pisa to see its Leaning Tower. Then we pass the quarries of Carrara and drive along the autostrada via Genoa to Nice. Later we visit the Principality of Monaco where we see the Monte Carlo Casino before we enjoy a Highlight Dinner in a French restaurant. (Buffet breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

This morning we drive along the sparkling shores to the fashionable resort of Cannes where we see the Film Festival Theatre. Then into the hills, we stop at medieval St. Paul de Vence where another Hidden Treasure is revealed to us. Next we visit a local perfumery before returning to Nice. We drive via Aix-en-Provence to Avignon on the River Rhone. Time to admire the broken bridge as well as the Papal Palace before we head to Lyon, where we see the Fourviere Hill and Place Bellecour. Tonight, we enjoy a Highlight Dinner in a typical French restaurant. (Buffet breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

Today's drive takes us along the Rhone Valley on our way to charming Beaune. From here we travel through the wine-producing Burgundy region to Paris for two nights with the chance to take in an exciting Parisian cabaret! (Buffet breakfast)
