The temples, cities and other amazing structures from this empire display massive architectural masterpieces and intricate, detailed stone carvings which chronicle the history of the empire on the walls of the main temple and capital city. The number and immensity of the sites requires a good deal of time to explore properly. We recommend a minimum of two days in Angkor Wat and you can easily spend from 3-5 days there. Siem Reap
Fly from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. You can obtain your Cambodian visa at the Siem Reap airport (bring head shot photos). Your guide will then transfer you to your hotel. Then you will go on a 3/4 day tour of Angkor Wat (Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom). Evening: Great Lake Sunset Cruise. L

Day 3
Phnom Penh
Take the river cruise from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. This is a 5-hour cruise on a fairly high-speed large motorized boat. You can either ride inside the seating area (it is air conditioned), or many clients (especially the younger ones) prefer to ride on top (a much more interesting panoramic view). The ship leaves early in the morning (about 7:30am) and arrives in Phnom Penh in the early afternoon.
