Bangalore is said to get its name from Bendakalooru (the town of boiled beans) after a king strayed into the area during a hunting trip in the late 14th century. A woman offered him a meal of boiled beans, which the king enjoyed so much that he named the town after the dish. Visit the ISKCON Temple (International Society For Krishna Consciousness), which houses various deities, including Krishna, Balaram and Radha. After lunch you will be driven to Mysore - the palace city of South India. Mysore is a center of sandalwood carving, silk production. After lunch, you will take an excursion to visit Srirangapattinam - an Ancient Island fortress town on the bank of river Cauvery. In the evening, you will visit Chamundi Hill Temple. Situated at a height of 1062mts, the 2000-year-old temple is dedicated to Goddess Chamundi. A seven storey high tower dominates the temple.
