Afternoon, enjoy guided City Tour of this European style cosmopolitan capital city including historic La Moneda, Plaza de Armas, Santiago Cathedral, Santa Lucia Hill, the site of the founding of Santiago in 1541, and the beautiful residential districts of Vitacura and Las Condes en "el Barrio Alto". | | Day 2 | Valle De La Luna | SANTIAGO - CALAMA - SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA - VALLE DE LA LUNA Departure Transfer to the Airport for 2 hour flight north to Calama in the heart of the Atacama Desert. Meeting upon arrival and transfer to San Pedro de Atacama, a remote Spanish-Indian village of just 900 inhabitants founded in the 16th century. Explore its charming, central square, quaint Spanish Mission Church founded in 1641, the Father Gustave Le Paige Museum with its extraordinary collection of Andean archaeology including indigenous ceramics, mummies (dating from pre-Hispanic times), garments, ornaments and gold figures, and tour spectacular Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley) with its eerie otherworldly rock formations suggesting the lunar landscape. The colors at sunset are extraordinary! Check-in to the Hotel Casa Don Tomas or similar. B | | Day 3 | Lagunas Altiplanicas | SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA - SALAR DE ATACAMA - LAGUNAS ALTIPLANICAS Enjoy full day visit through the beautiful Atacama Desert landscape. Highlights of this marvellous day include the Salar del Atacama (Atacama Salt Flats), Chile's largest salt flat, with its rugged salt crust surface peppered with desert dust. Under the hardened white crust is a great lake which is a breeding ground for improbable flocks of pink flamingos. Continuing to the beautiful, icy blue waters of the Lagunas Altiplanicas Miscanti and Meniques reflecting on their surface the snow-capped mountians at over 13,000 feet above sea level. Then to visit the authentic, charming Spanish colonial towns of Socaire and Toconao before returning to San Pedro de Atacama. B | | Day 4 | Geisers Del Tatio | SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA - GEISERS DEL TATIO Very early morning pick up from your hotel for three hour drive straight up to walk among the billowing Tatio geysers at over 4,300 meters above sea level surrounded by soaring snow covered peaks. At dawn, powerful bursts of steam emanate from perfectly shaped conical mini-volcanoes to over 25 feet in height. Breakfast is served as you admire the Torcopuri and Sairecabur Volcanoes so near you can touch them. Around mid-day return to San Pedro de Atacama. Evening free to relax, stroll and explore on your own. B | | Day 5 | Puerto Varas | SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA - CALAMA - SANTIAGO - PUERTO MONTT - PUERTO VARAS Departure Transfer to Airport in Calama for 2 hour flight to Santiago. Arrival to Santiago for connecting 1 ½ hour flight to Puerto Montt in Chile's beautiful alpine lake region in the south. Pickup at the airport and transfer to Puerto Varas overlooking spectacular Lake Llanquihue. Check in to Hotel Bellavista or similar. Evening free to relax, stroll and explore on your own. B | | Day 6 | Puerto Varas | PUERTO VARAS - PUERTO MONTT - FRUTILLAR - CHILOE - PUERTO VARAS City tour of these two colorful port cities. Travel along Costanera Avenue with magnificent view of Reloncavi Bay, the main square and monument to its early German settlers, Angelmo fishing village, continuing to Puerto Varas, the "city of roses". Then to Frutillar, strongly influenced by German settlers 150 years ago, situated on the banks of beautiful Lake Llanquihue with impressive snow-capped Osorno Volcano directly opposite. B, L | | Day 7 | Ski Center & Osorno Volcano | PUERTO VARAS - PETROHUE - SKI CENTER & OSORNO VOLCANO Exciting full day excursion to the Ski and Mountain Center at Osorno Volcano in the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park. Continue to Petrohue, lovely, tiny town at the base of the Osorno Volcano and on the shores of Lake Todos Los Santos, known as the "Emerald Lake" for its gorgeous deep green hues. B, L | | DAY 8 | Puerto Natales | PUERTO VARAS - PUERTO MONTT - PUNTA ARENAS - PUERTO NATALES Departure Transfer to Airport for 2 hour flight south to Punta Arenas. Lying at the foot of the Andes Mountains, Punta Arenas is the world's southernmost city and the main jumping off point for Antartic expeditions. Arrival to Presidente Ibanez Airport in Punta Arenas and Transfer to the Bus Depot to board Regular Bus Service to Puerto Natales (3 hour drive weather conditions permitting). Travel through the Patagonian steppes viewing sheep farms, past villa Tehuelches, and wonderful view of the imposing rock bastion, Morro Chico. Check-in to the Lodge Weskar or similar. B | | DAY 9 | Puerto Natales | PUERTO NATALES Day free to relax, stroll, shop and explore this charming port city founded in 1911. Try the fresh seafood, shop for wood handicraft and sheepskin, and have a camera handy for wonderful, scenic shots of the colorful fisihing boats in the harbor. B | | Day 10 | Torres del Paine National Park | PUERTO NATALES - TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK Early morning pickup from your hotel for full day excursion exploring the Torres del Paine National Park, declared a Biosphere Reserve in 1978 by UNESCO. Enjoy the rich varied flora and wildlife, dip your toes in pristine ice-cold lakes, marvel at spectacular Grey glacier, small ponds, running rivers and hidden waterfalls until arriving to impressive Paine massif and the towering majestic Cuernos and Torres del Paine peaks. B, L | | Day 11 | Santiago | PUERTO NATALES - PUNTA ARENAS - SANTIAGO Departure Transfer to the Bus Depot to board Regular Bus service to Punta Arenas and 4 hour flight to Santiago.
