    DayDestinationDescription
    Day 1Baltra-Santa CruzGuests are collected at the airport in Baltra by representatives and taken to the Coral I or Coral II for embarkation. Your voyage will begin with a brief cruise to Santa Cruz where you will make a wet-landing. Then, visitors will go on a guided walk to a salt water lagoon which is occasionally visited by pink flamingos. Afterwards you will hike up to Dragon Hill for a beautiful view of the bay. This area features a peculiar scalesia tree forest and is also a nesting site for numerous reintroduced land iguanas.
    Day 2RabidaMake a wet landing at Jervis, on the volcano-formed beach on Rabida. This island is considered the geographic center of the Galapagos because it has the most diverse volcanic rocks on the Islands. Hike to a salt water lagoon which is frequented by flamingos; during the months of July to September, one can observe brown pelicans nesting in the salty bushes. Boobies and nine species of Darwin's finches can also be observed. On the island of Santiago at Egas Port you will land on the dark sandy beaches before seeing a landscape of tuff stone layers and lava flows. Here, passengers can observe hunting herons, great blue herons, lava herons, yellow crowned night herons and oyster catchers. Visitors will see marine iguanas grazing on algae beds alongside sally light-foot crabs. There is a colony of fur-seals swimming in deep cool-water pools, and visitors can swim and snorkel while discovering octopuses, sea horses, and star fish.
    Day 3FernandinaFollowing a dry landing at Espinosa Point, you will see marine iguanas mingling with sally light-foot crabs, as well as flightless cormorant nesting sites, Galapagos penguins, Galapagos hawks, and sea lions. Then, travel to Tagus Cove on Isabela where they will make a dry landing on the largest island in the archipelago. Here visitors will learn about the eruption of five volcanoes that formed this island. The trail leads to Darwin's salt water lagoon and an excellent view of the lava fields and volcanic formations. There will also be an opportunity for snorkeling.
    Day 4BartolomeOn Bartolome, you will see volcanic formations such as lava bombs, spatter, and cinder cones. A hike to the summit will reveal a spectacular view of the surrounding islands, including Pinnacle Rock's eroded tuff cone. On the way to the summit, passengers will see colonies of marine iguanas, lava lizards and various cacti. There are also numerous snorkeling opportunities and a chance to see Galapagos penguin, sea turtles, and white- tipped sharks from a safe distance. The next stop is Black Turtle Cove on Santa Cruz, which is located near Las Bachas beach on the north side of the island. Passengers will take a dinghy through the mangrove and have an opportunity to observe marine turtles, white-tipped reef sharks and spotted eagle rays.
    Day 5Santa CruzTravelers will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, home to a majority staffed with international scientists conducting biological research and conservation projects. Here you will be able to admire the famous giant tortoises involved in the breeding program. Visitors can also admire the prickly-pear cactus forest. Later you will disembark at Baltra, where you will be taken by bus to the airport.
