    Day 1ShanghaiSet sail from Shanghai, one of China's most important industrial and cultural centers. Shanghai is known for its vitality and its bustling tree-lined streets crammed with shops.
    Day 2Nanjing Visit Nanjing, located on the southern bank of the Yangtze. Tour the Sun Yat-sen Memorial, a 95,000 square-yard mausoleum. Also visit a Qing Dynasty style bazaar surrounding a Confucian Temple.
    Day 3HuangshanFull day excursion to Haungshan. Cloaked in fog and clouds for most of the year, Huangshan is a World Heritage Site and one of China's most celebrated mountain ranges. (Depending on conditions, an alternate excursion may be submitted to Jiuhuashan, one of the four sacred mountains of Chinese Buddhism)
    Day 4WuhanTake an afternoon excursion in Wuhan at the confluence of the Yangtze and Han Rivers. Attractions include the Yellow Crane Tower, Yangtze River Bridges, East Lake, and the Hubei Provincial Museum. The museum houses artifacts from first century BC.
    Day 5Sailing on the Yangtze RiverSpend the day on board and enjoy the splendid views of the Yangtze River.
    Day 6Three Gorges Dam SiteIn the morning, visit the Three Gorges Dam Site, the largest water conservation project ever undertaken. Then in the afternoon, enter the Three Gorge Dam ship locks and sail through Xiling Gorge, the longest and deepest of the Three Gorges.
    Day 7The Three GorgesDiscover why the Three Gorges are some to of the most extraordinary sculptures in the natural world. Enter Wu Gorge, known for its peaceful beauty and forested mountains. Then sail through Qutang Gorge, the shortest, narrowest and most dramatic Gorge of the three. Take an excursion up the Daning river through the beautiful "Lesser Gorges."
    Day 8FengduTake a morning excursion to Fengdu and see the plethora of demon-decorated temples, buildings and statues that earned this river town the nickname "Ghost City."
    Day 9ChongqingArrive and disembark in Chongqing, a dazzling mountain city sitting on the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. The 3,000 year old city was once the capital of the ancient Ba Kingdom was more recently the war-time capital of the Chiang Kai-shek Nationalist government during World War II.
