Arrive this afternoon at the GRAND CANYON, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. The spectacular beauty of this famous attraction draws more than 5 million visitors a year from around the globe. This evening, be sure to watch the spectacular sunset. Drive west to Lake Powell, where sparkling blue water laps against towering, sheer, red-rock canyon walls and sandy beaches. The majestic beauty of this vast man-made lake can be appreciated on the afternoon CRUISE. See gigantic Glen Canyon Dam and the 'tapestry' walls of Antelope Canyon. Free time later for a leisurely stroll along Wahweap Marina on the shores of Lake Powell. (B,D) | | Day 5 | Lake Powell | Today is at leisure. Maybe join the optional float trip excursion on the Colorado River through Glen Canyon, winding through towering red walls of the canyon. The photo opportunities are unique. Drive through the park, with photo stops to capture the magnificent contrasts of bright red, yellow, and pink pillars called 'hoodoos.' Years of erosion have carved colorful sandstone into thousands of spires, arches, and mazes for an unforgettable sight. Next, see nearby ZION NATIONAL PARK, a spectacle of massive stone formations whose colors change with the light of the day and the season. To the Mormon pioneers, it was a haven of beauty resembling natural temples and cathedrals, and they called it 'Little Zion.' Air booked in conjunction with a land vacation is considered an air-inclusive vacation. For vacation departures in 2010, your final air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed when your air schedule had been confirmed and your entire vacation package has been paid in full. For vacation departures in 2010, an additional $250 non-refundable deposit (total $500 non-refundable) is required for air booked in conjunction with any land vacation and your final air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed when your flight information is confirmed and Globus has received your full land and air deposit.
