Your Itinerary

 

 

Day 01, Friday: U.S. to Ireland.

Depart Newark on Continental flight #24 at 7:25pm for our overnight flight from the U.S. to Ireland. Dinner is served shortly after take-off.

 

Day 02, Saturday: Limerick

Early morning arrival at Shannon Airport at 6:45am. Having cleared Irish customs, we are greeted by our friendly Celtic Tours driver/guide. Depart Shannon Airport and travel to Limerick. Hotel check-in and some free time to rest. Dinner and overnight in Limerick. Optional pub entertainment tonight after dinner.

 

Day 03, Sunday: Shannon - Adare - Killarney.

Depart Limerick and travel via the old world village of Adare to Killarney. Hotel check-in and some free time to rest. Dinner and overnight in Killarney. Optional pub entertainment tonight after dinner.

 

Day 04, Monday: Killarney - Ring of Kerry - Killarney.

Today, we depart on one of Ireland's most popular and beautiful drives, the Ring of Kerry. Traveling from Killarney we come to the town of Killorglin, famous for Puck Fair, and from here we commence the ring tour. Our drive is along the coastline of the broad Iveragh Peninsula, through the towns of Glenbeigh, Cahirciveen, Waterville and Sneem. The scenery is spectacular as wind-swept cliffs, still lakes, lost valleys and rocky mountains blend in awesome beauty. As one looks around it is easy to agree with the old Irish saying, “Even if a man has only a small bit of earth here, he has a lot of the heavens.  From Sneem, we continue via Ladies View back to Killarney. Dinner and overnight at our Killarney hotel.

 

Day 05, Tuesday: Killarney - Kildare - Dublin.

Morning departure from Killarney. We travel via County Kildare, renowned for horse breeding and the home of the Irish Derby, to Dublin. Check-in to our hotel with some free time to relax before departing for an evening of dinner and traditional Irish entertainment of music, singing and dancing. Overnight in Dublin.

 

Day 06, Wednesday: ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

After breakfast, we are transferred to the parade route where we can enjoy the festivities. Remainder of the day is free to browse, visit some of the famed Dublin pubs or visit the theatre. Overnight in Dublin.

 

Day 07, Thursday: Dublin - Athlone - Galway.

Morning departure from Dublin. We travel across the midlands to Athlone, beautifully situated on the River Shannon. Continue on via Loughrea to Galway City, where we have a short panoramic tour before reaching our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Galway.

 

Day 08, Friday: Galway - Cliffs of Moher - Bunratty.

Departing Galway we travel south to the majestic Cliffs of Moher on the Atlantic Coast. Continue along the coast to Lahinch and Liscannor, birthplace of John Holland, the inventor of the submarine. Travel on to Ennis and Bunratty for dinner and overnight.

 

Day 09, Saturday: Shannon Airport - U.S.

After breakfast, we depart for nearby Shannon Airport and our return flight home. Ample time allowed for last minute duty free shopping before boarding our flight home, Continental flight #25 at 8:00am. We arrive home the same day at 11:25am.
