Discover two great French Canadian cities on this 7-day vacation. Start in Montreal, Canada's second-largest city and one of her liveliest. Enjoy a sightseeing tour with plenty of time to explore on your own. Perhaps visit the Montreal Biodome, a combined botanical garden, aquarium, and zoo, or check out the Montreal Tower. At 575 feet, it stands as the world's tallest inclined tower. Also explore Montreal's "Underground City," which links many major buildings and shopping malls in the area. Then, travel by train to Quebec City, with plenty of free time for independent activities after your sightseeing tour. The only walled city in Canada, Quebec City has a definite European feel. The historical section is the only urban area in North America that is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Within the walls are the Place d'Armes, the Laval Seminary, and the ancient Place Royale. Nestled between Quebec City and the St. Lawrence River is the Plains of Abraham, one of the world's most prestigious parks. Spend time exploring the many historic sites, travel over the Ile d'Orleans, view Montmorency Falls, or see Old World houses in Lower Town.
