 Discover Europe with your family on this fun-filled vacation! Begin in Rome with guided sightseeing that visits the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's, and the Colosseum, where you get a family picture with a gladiator (if available). On to Pisa's Leaning Tower, then the spa resort of Montecatini for an overnight. In Florence, see Michelangelo's David, the cathedral, the Baptistry's 'Gate of Paradise,' and sculpture-filled Signoria Square. Enjoy a pizza party lunch at a local pizzeria and learn how they are made! Enter Venice by private boat, create your own Venetian mask, take a vaporetto ride, and enjoy guided sightseeing that includes St. Mark's Square, Doges' Palace, and the Bridge of Sighs. Continue to charming Lake Maggiore, cross Simplon Pass, and ride a cogwheel mountain train to Zermatt at the base of the Matterhorn. Spend a night in Montreux on Lake Geneva, then travel to Lausanne and ride the high-speed TGV train to Paris. Guided sightseeing includes Notre Dame Cathedral and a bird's-eye view of the city from the top floor of the Eiffel Tower. London extension continues by Eurostar train to London, and includes two nights and a city tour with a Local Guide that features London's highlights and a 'flight' on the London Eye. In the rare event that the TGV or the Eurostar train (HFFT) is unavailable, alternative services will be provided.

At 5 pm your Tour Director will meet you and your family for some activities to help you get acquainted with your traveling companions. Then, a special welcome dinner at your hotel. (D) | | Day 3 | Rome | Morning sightseeing with your Local Guide starts with a visit to the VATICAN MUSEUMS and SISTINE CHAPEL, world famous for Michelangelo's ceiling paintings and The Last Judgement. Continue to monumental ST. PETER'S SQUARE and BASILICA. Cross the Tiber and visit one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, the COLOSSEUM. In the afternoon, relax by the pool or explore the famous Tuscan spa town of Montecatini, where your hotel is located. This evening, dinner is included at the hotel. (B,D) | | Day 5 | Venice | This morning, visit Florence, 'Cradle of the Renaissance.' Follow your Local Guide to visit the ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS with Michelangelo's celebrated David. Admire the magnificent cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, the Baptistry's heavy bronze 'Gate of Paradise,' and visit sculpture-studded SIGNORIA SQUARE. Enjoy a festive PIZZA PARTY LUNCH at a local pizzeria, where an Italian chef demonstrates just how Italian pizzas are made! In the afternoon, drive across the Apennine Hills to Venice. Enter the city in style by PRIVATE BOAT. There is time to rest at your hotel, then join your Tour Director for a tasty pasta dinner Venetian style. (B,L,D) | | Day 6 | Venice | Walk through the narrow streets to an original Venetian workshop and enjoy the unique experience of decorating your own VENETIAN CARNIVAL MASK. When you are satisfied with your artistic endeavors, use the included vaporetto ticket to return to the hotel or to find a cozy trattoria for lunch. In the afternoon, meet your Local Guide and visit ST. MARK'S SQUARE, DOGES' PALACE, and the BRIDGE OF SIGHS. This evening, maybe an optional gondola serenade or dinner in Burano for a real Venetian experience. (B) | | Day 7 | Lake Maggiore | Travel to the attractive Lake Maggiore area. Afternoon at leisure to explore, to relax at the hotel pool, or to join an optional excursion to the baroque palace and peacock gardens of enchanting Isola Bella. Dinner is included at your hotel. (B,D) | | Day 8 | Zermatt | Drive over the impressive Simplon Pass, reaching the Swiss Valais. In Tasch, board the COGWHEEL MOUNTAIN TRAIN to climb the last few miles up to the picturesque, car-free, Alpine village of Zermatt at the base of the Matterhorn. Why not join an optional excursion up Europe's highest rack-railway to 10,272-foot Gornergrat mountain for a breathtaking panoramic view of Switzerland's loftiest peaks, including the famed Matterhorn. In the late afternoon, continue to your Montreux hotel at Lake Geneva and enjoy an included dinner. (B,D) | | Day 9 | Paris | From Lausanne, depart for Paris on board the famous high-speed TGV TRAIN (first-class). Upon arrival in Paris, ride the elevators to the top of the EIFFEL TOWER and enjoy spectacular views of the city. Air booked in conjunction with a land vacation is considered an air-inclusive vacation. Air can only be booked by Globus in conjunction with a land package and is only available for passengers traveling from the United States. For vacation departures in 2010, your final air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed when your air schedule had been confirmed and your entire vacation package has been paid in full. For vacation departures in 2010, an additional $250 non-refundable deposit (total $500 non-refundable) is required for air booked in conjunction with any land vacation and your final air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed when your flight information is confirmed and Globus has received your full land and air deposit.
