Ischia is famed for its mild climate, great sandy beaches and with 25 miles of coastline there is ample opportunities for sun-soaked relaxation and great watersports. For the more urban minded visitor there is the elegant, traffic free town of Sant'Angelo with its quaint boutiques, local pottery and hand-crafted merchandise.

Nearby Forio is known for its bars and tree lined boulevards, while the Port of Ischia, offers discotheques, and high end shopping. Ischia port is also famous for it's imposing Aragon's castle, rich with tales of blunder and thunder. In the past, the castle was the town, housing over 1900 families, various religious orders and 13 churches. The castle served as defense against the regular pirate attacks which the island had been plagued with throughout its history. It is now an interesting museum.

The Hotel Lord Byron is a small, friendly Italian hotel located in the centre of Forio d' Ischia, 2000' from the beach of Chaia and 1.25 miles from the well-known beaches of Citara and Cava dell'Isola as well as from the famous Poseidon thermal gardens. The Hotel consists of three separate buildings positioned, behind a little green oasis, where one can admire several Mediterranean plants and the panorama view of the nearby hills.

The Hotel is a 10 minute ride by local bus to the world famous La Mortella Gardens where the celebrated British composer Sir William Walton lived. Sir Walton and his wife created one of the most exquisite gardens in Europe. The magical gardens has its own renowned concert hall camouflaged in wisteria and creepers with stunning views over the Mediterranean. Pick up from the hotel around 9.00am. Half day roundtrip to the six municipalities of Ischia with stops at the beautiful viewpoints of the island, including one hour free time in the picturesque fishing village of Saint' Angelo to enjoy the unforgettable view of the Maronti beach.

Pompeii Vesuvius - Tuesday - $75
Pick up from the hotel around 6.00am , departure by ferry - boat at 06.40am. You will take the highway to Pompeii , where a guided tour of about 2 ½ hours will take you through this unique excavation of the Roman town, together with Herculaneum was buried by lava during the eruption of the Vesuvius in 79AD. After lunch break you will be taken up to the Vesuvius, from the end of which a foot path leads up to the crater. Time to walk to the top and see the crater. Return to Naples and then to Ischia to your hotel around 6.30pm

Ischia Boat trip - Wednesday - $71
Departure in the morning from the harbour of Forio at 10.30am. Enjoy a beautiful day out on the sea on board of the yacht Mediterranea. An unforgettable boat trip around the island with stops in the most beautiful bays as San Montano, Citara, Sorgeto and San Pancrazio. Stops also to visit the Emeralds Grotto, the Grotto of Love and the Green Grotto. Plenty of time for swimming and lunch on board.

Sorrento - Positano - Amalfi - Ravel - Thursday - $75
Pick up from hotel around 6.00am , departure by ferry - boat at 06.40am. From Naples we take the highway to Castllamare and panoramic road to Sorrento where we will do a sightseeing tour and stay for about 40 minutes. We continue our trip along the famous coastal road to Amalfi and have a stop of about 30 minutes in the romantic resort of Positano. In Amalfi we will visit the centre and famous Dome. We then leave the coast and drive up to Ravello. Here we will visit the gardens at Villa Rufolo, which inspired Richard Wagner to complete his Parsifal and which are the site of famous international concerts today. From the gardens you can enjoy the most charming views of the Gulf of Salerno. Return across the Lattari mountains and on the highway back to Naples to return to the hotel at 06.30pm

Capri - Everyday except Saturday - $66.00 by minibus or $36 by boat
Departure from Forio at 08:00am , takes 1.30hours to reach Capri. A minibus will take you first to Anacapri, the highest point of the island. After a lunch break (not included in the price) will take you to the centre of Capri where you will visit the wonderful Augustus Gardens, from this spot you can enjoy the famous view of the Faraglioni Rocks. Return to the hotel by 4.00pm

Walking Tour - Buceto - Bosco Maddalena - Fumarole - Saturday $32
Pick up from hotel around 2.00pm, transfer to Cretaio, where this pleasant walk begins crossing the Buceto (water spring) through an absolutely beautiful chestnut wood. Then we go to the Bosco Maddalena, which offer an unforgettable view of Ischia. Coming back through the crater of Fondo D' oglio to see 'Fumarole' a thermal well.
