Kakadu National Park Aboriginal rock art at Ubirr & Nourlangie Rock Arnhem Land 4WD adventure Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Center East Alligator River & Yellow Water Billabong Day 1: Arrive Darwin - Kakadu
Depart Darwin at 6:30am and travel into Kakadu. Stop at Nourlangie Rock and take a guided walk to view Aboriginal rock art. Enjoy a cruise on Yellow Water Billabong and visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Center. Overnight: Kakadu, Aurora Kakadu (standard) or Gagudju Crocodile Holiday Inn (superior) for 2 nights (L)
Day 2: Arnhem Land 4WD Adventure
This morning travel by 4WD vehicle into Arnhem Land and the Mikinj Valley, a unique area where Aboriginal people have lived for thousands of years. Travel through spectacular scenery including sandstone outcrops, escarpments, forests, floodplains and billabongs. Hear of the traditional land ownership, learn of bush skills, hunting, food gathering and preparation of "bush tucker." View Aboriginal rock art in its natural state. Most tours are accompanied by an Aboriginal guide. (L)
Day 3: Kakadu-Darwin
This morning stop at Ubirr for a guided walk, then join the Guluyambi Cruise. Visit the Bowali Visitor Center or take an optional scenic flight over Kakadu (flight, own expense). Return to Darwin, arriving at approximately 7:30pm. (L)
