Highlights:
Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) Uluru (Ayers Rock) Sunrise & Sunset Kings Canyon
Day 1: Arrive Uluru (Ayers Rock) & Kata Tjutu (the Olgas)
You will be met on arrival at Ayers Rock airport and transferred to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 1:00pm, airfare not included). Journey to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and walk to the Valley of the Winds lookout (good level of fitness required). View a majestic desert sunset, followed by a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing. Overnight: Ayers Rock Resort, Outback Pioneer Hotel (standard), Desert Gardens Hotel (superior) or Sails in the Desert (first class) for 2 nights (D)
Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Rise early to view Uluru (Ayers Rock) at sunrise. Climb to the summit for spectacular views of the Red Center (optional). A base tour is included. Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Center. This evening, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine while you watch the subtle color changes as the sun sets over Uluru.
Day 3: Kings Canyon-Alice Springs
Depart Ayers Rock Resort and travel to Kings Canyon. Climb to the canyon rim for superb views of Watarrka National Park (good level of fitness required). Or, you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor. After lunch (own expense) travel to the unique Outback town of Alice Springs, arriving approximately 6:30pm.
