Hotel: Surmeli Istanbul (2 nights) | | Day 3 | Istanbul | Istanbul Sightseeing : This morning's city tour takes us to the impressive Topkapi Palace, which served as the palace of the Ottoman Sultans between the 16th and 19th centuries. It has a superb position overlooking the Bosphorus. Then to St. Sophia's Basilica built originally by Constantine the Great. After lunch, visit the Blue Mosque, famous for its six minarets, its beautiful blue Iznik tiles, unique architecture and marble latticework. Then visit the Byzantine Hippodrome where chariot races and competitive athletic events took place. Finally we visit the famous vast and bustling Grand Bazaar. (Buffet breakfast) | | Day 4 | Canakkale | Istanbul - Gallipoli - Canakkale : This morning we depart for Gallipoli and visit the poignant sites of the battlefields where many of the fiercest battles of World War I took place. Includes poignant Anzac Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery and Chanuk Bair.(Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Hotel: Kolin | | Day 5 | Izmir | Canakkale - Troy - Pergamon - Izmir : This morning we visit the legendary city of Troy, immortalised by Homer in the stories of King Priamus, Hector, Paris and the beautiful Helen. We see the archaeological excavations that have revealed nine separate periods of settlement and the ruins of city walls, house foundations, a temple and a theatre. And, of course, we see the symbolic replica wooden Trojan horse that commemorates the epic war machine that was constructed in the 13th century BC. Then we stop at the ancient kingdom of Pergamon where we visit the Acropolis, the Temple of Athena and the famous library. Then we continue on to our hotel.(Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Hotel: Crown Plaza Izmir | | Day 6 | Pamukkale | Izmir - Ephesus - Virgin Mary's House - Pamukkale : We set off for the ancient city of Ephesus where our walking tour includes the Great Theatre, which was built by the Romans between 41 and 117 AD, the Temple of Hadrian, guarded by a head of Medusa, and the House of the Virgin Mary. Then to Pamukkale where you can enjoy the blissful thermal pools at our hotel.(Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Hotel: Lycus River | | Day 7 | Bursa | Pamukkale - Hierapolis - Bursa : We drive to Pamukkale, famous for its chalk-white array of fantastically shaped limestone. We visit the ruins of Hierapolis, then to the city of Bursa.(Buffet breakfast / Dinner)
Hotel: Thermal Kervansaray | | Day 8 | Istanbul | Bursa - Istanbul : We visit the Green Ottoman Complex and the old silk market. Then we cross the Marmara Sea and return to Istanbul where we enjoy a Farewell Dinner. (Buffet breakfast / Farewell dinner)
