Meet 'n Greet upon arrival and Transfer to the Hotel Amerian Buenos Aires or similar. Balance of day free to relax, shop, explore on your own, and perhaps schedule an optional Dinner Tango Show for the evening. | | Day 2 | Buenos Aires | BUENOS AIRES - CITY TOUR Guided tour of this cosmopolitan city reminiscent of many European capitals with its narrow streets and wide tree lined boulevards, turn of the century architecture, sidewalk cafes and elegant window shops. B | | Day 3 | Ushuaia | BUENOS AIRES - USHUAIA Today, fly south to Ushuaia, the world's southernmost city. Meet 'n Greet upon arrival and Transfer to the Hotel Las Hayas or similar. Located on the border of the Beagle Channel and surrounded by the Martial Mountains, the port city of Ushuaia, originally a penal colony, is now the capital of the Argentinean province of Tierra Del Fuego. B | | Day 4 | Tierra Del Fuego | USHUAIA - TIERRA DEL FUEGO Up early, enjoy an excursion to Tierra Del Fuego National Park. Created in 1960 and only 12 kilometers from the city, this extraordinary seaside national park offers beautiful views, spectacular scenery and a variety of flora and fauna species. | | Day 5 | Mare Australis | MARE AUSTRALIS (4 Day-3 Night Cruise) In the afternoon, embark on the Mare Australis for unforgettable three (3) night cruise. Welcome Cocktail and Dinner on board. Depart from Ushuaia and navigate towards historic Cape Horn passing by Murray Channel, Beagle Channel and Wulaia Bay. As we sail, lecturers offer a preview of sights ahead. B, D | | Day 6 | Cape Horn | CAPE HORN Disembark at Cape Horn National Park and Wulaia Bay (Navarino Island). Cape Horn, an island featuring cliffs almost 425 meters high, was discovered in 1616 by a Danish commercial expedition under the command of Captain William Shouten Isaac LeMaire. The Cape owes its name to the Port of Horn from where the expedition departed a year earlier in 1615. B, L, D | | Day 7 | Garibaldi Glacier | GARIBALDI GLACIER Today, navigate towards impressive Garibaldi Glacier. Our ship enters Garibaldi Inlet for breathtaking close up views of this imposing mass of blue ice. Stop on route to admire numerous sea lions and wild duck which herald our arrival. Then disembark on a Zodiac marvelling at the silence around you for nearby solitary beach to hike the virgin forest of Patagonia, as guides tell of its flora, fauna and geography. Back on board, enjoy Farewell Cocktail and Dinner. B, L, D | | Day 8 | Puerto Natales | MAGDALENA ISLAND - PUNTA ARENAS - PUERTO NATALES Disembark at Isla Magdalena to enjoy sight of colony of over 120,000 magellan Penguins (between October and March). Then walk to San Isidro Lighthouse which once guided adventurous sailors on their journeys through the treacherous Strait of Magellan. Later, arrive to Punta Arenas and disembark for overland transfer to Puerto Natales. Arrival and check-in to the Hotel Costa Australis or similar (Sea View Room). B | | Day 9 | Torres del Paine National Park | TORRES DEL PAINE NATIONAL PARK Early morning visit to Cave of the Milodon. Then drive along shores of pristine Sarmiento, Nordenskjold and Pehoe Lake, always accompanied by imposing presence of the Towers of Paine. Visit Lago Grey to appreciate enormous ice floes in the lake, and then brief stop to enjoy box lunch in this extraordinary setting. B, L | | Day 10 | El Calafate | PUERTO NATALES - EL CALAFATE Transfer from hotel to Bus Terminal for overland transfer on regularly scheduled service to El Calafate situated on the southern shore of Lago Argentino. This remote region is referred to as "Los Glaciares" (the glaciers) covered by a vast 200 mile sheet of ice with towering mountains, crystal clear lakesand massive glaciers descending from the Andes Mountains. Overnight at the Hotel Los Alamos or similar. B | | Day 11 | Perito Moreno Glacier | EL CALAFATE - PERITO MORENO GLACIER Full day excursion to Los Glaciares National Park with its massive advancing glaciers and walls of sheer ice that plunge into the lake with an unforgettable roar. Perito Moreno Glacier rises 60 meters above Lago Argentino and measures over 4 kilometers across its face. B | | Day 12 | Buenos Aires | EL CALAFATE - BUENOS AIRES Transfer to Airport for flight to Buenos Aires. Meet 'n Greet upon arrival and Transfer to the Hotel Amerian Buenos Aires or similar. Balance of the day free to realx, shop and explore on your own. For a fun evening, try the colorful cantina Spadaveccia in the Boca district. Food, song and dance are plentiful.
