Day 1: Sydney-Hay
Depart Sydney at 7:30am and travel along the Hume Highway via Goulburn and the Riverina to Hay. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner this evening. Overnight: Hay, Comfort Inn (D)
Day 2: Hay-Adelaide
Depart Hay for Adelaide, traveling via the vast Hay Plains and Mildura, through the vineyards of the Riverland District to Adelaide. Overnight: Adelaide, Stamford Plaza (B)
Day 3: Adelaide-Flinders Ranges
See the sights of Adelaide on an orientation tour then sample wines at Sevenhill Cellars, the oldest winery in the beautiful Clare Valley. Later travel through the Flinders Ranges into Wilpena Pound. Overnight: Flinders Ranges, Wilpena Pound Resort (B,D)
Day 4: Flinders Ranges-Port Augusta
Take time to explore Wilpena Pound, a remarkable natural amphitheatre. Then travel through Pitchi Richi Pass to Port Augusta and visit the Wadlata Outback Center. Overnight: Port Augusta, Majestic Oasis Apartments (B,D)
Day 5: Port Augusta-Coober Pedy
Visit Woomera before traveling to Coober Pedy, the opal capital. Visit an underground church and home and see how the locals live in this unique town. Overnight: Coober Pedy, Desert Cave Hotel (B,D)
Day 6: Coober Pedy-Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Enter the Northern Territory and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as you watch the sun set at Uluru. Overnight: Ayers Rock Resort, Desert Gardens Hotel for 2 nights (B)
Day 7: Kata Tjuta (the Olgas)
View sunrise at Uluru. Enjoy a guided walk into Mutitjulu waterhole and stop at the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Center. This afternoon, visit Kata Tjuta and walk into Walpa Gorge. Enjoy sunset with a complimentary glass of wine, followed by a delicious Australian barbecue dinner under the stars. (B,D)
Day 8: Uluru-Kings Canyon
Travel to Kings Canyon today. For the energetic, a guided climb to the Canyon rim will be rewarded with magnificent views of Watarrka National Park. Or, explore the boulder-strewn Canyon floor, an easier walk. Overnight: Kings Canyon, Kings Canyon Resort (B,D)
Day 9: Kings Canyon-Alice Springs
Travel through to Alice Springs. See the Royal Flying Doctor Service, School of the Air, the Old Telegraph Station and panoramic views of Alice Springs from Anzac Hill. Overnight: Alice Springs, Alice Springs Resort for 2 nights (B,D)
Day 10: Alice Springs
Spend time with a local Aboriginal guide and learn of life and survival of the Arrente People. Later, visit the renowned Alice Springs Desert Park and enjoy its many attractions, including the Nocturnal House and the Nature Theater. Then travel to the magical Angkerle (Standley Chasm) and Simpsons Gap. (B)
Day 11: Alice Springs-Tennant Creek

Travel to Karlu Karlu (Devils Marbles) and walk around these precariously balanced boulders. On arrival in Tennant Creek, tour the historic Battery Hill Precinct. Tour an underground mine and experience the life of an early miner. Tonight, enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner at the Battery Mine Center. Overnight: Tennant Creek, Eldorado Motor Inn (B,D)
Day 12: Mataranka Thermal Springs
Travel across vast outback stations. Visit the historic Daly Waters Hotel, before continuing into "Never Never" country. Stop at Mataranka for a relaxing dip in the thermal springs or stroll through the Elsey Homestead replica. Overnight: Katherine, Paraway Motel (B,D)
Day 13: Katherine Gorge-Kakadu
Join an early morning cruise through the Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park and head deep into Kakadu National Park. Cruise on the famous Yellow Water billabong and see a variety of birdlife and perhaps the feared estuarine crocodile basking in the muddy shallows. Day 14: Kakadu-Darwin
Stop at Bowali Visitor Center for a journey through Kakadu's habitats and landscapes. Travel to Ubirr and climb to the top of this rocky outcrop for rewarding views. Day 15: Litchfield National Park
Travel to Litchfield National Park to see beautiful Florence Falls and the mysterious Magnetic Termite Mounds. Dine out this evening at Darwin's newest attraction, Crocosaurus Cove. Enter the world of the awesome Northern Territory saltwater crocodile. Get up-close and personal with a "swim with the crocs" and watch the jumping crocodile display. (B,D)
Day 16: Depart Darwin
Your tour concludes this morning after breakfast. You will be transferred to Darwin airport to connect with your onward flight. (B)
