El Meco (1/2 day) (excursion included in package)
El Meco,city located in the Mujeres Bay, north of Cancun dates back to the post classic era, played a big role in the relationship with the Mujeres Islands.Its considered to be the staring point to and from the main land to the islands and an important landmark for the coastal boats.
El Meco was a fishermans village that was highly important in the commercial relationships with Coba and Chichen Itza. The location has 14 structures very close to each other, amongst which a main temple in very good condition. Situated between Puerto Juarez and Punta Sam , El Meco was recently opened to the public.The visit lasts no longer than an hour and starts with a drive trhough of Cancun.
It is the ideal location to discover the Mayan culture as a family>Very shaded which is deeply appreciated by parents with younger children.Transfer in an air conditionned bus, a guide will give you all the explanations in english.
Islas Mujeres by catamaran (1 day)
Step aboard the catamaran for a beautiful cruise heading for Isla Mujeres, where parrot, surgeon and triggerfish peacefuly swim in the crystal clear waters of the El Garrafón nature reserve.
You will then be given a pleasant tour of the island in a golf buggy, and a buffet lunch on the very pretty Los Cocos beach.
In the afternoon, the choice is yours: go shopping or swimming! Finally, return to Cancún after passing Cape Armelita.

In Mayan language, "Sian Ka an" means "where the sky is born".
This biosphere reserve is recognised by UNESCO as one of the planet?s natural heritage sites. You will discover the small archaeological site of Muyil in a jungle rich in flora and fauna.
After strolling along the pathways, you will cross the lagoon in small boats and you can then bathe in a canal protected by the mangrove.
