Full on trip visiting remote regions with multiple highlights. Gorilla mountain trek, other trekking, white water rafting, off beat and popular wildlife parks, roads can be poor. Community school involvement.
What is the ultimate African wildlife experience? Hard to say, but we think that this adventure travel trip comes pretty close to it. First off the block is mountain gorilla trekking in the awesome mountains of the Volcano Nat. Park in Rwanda. Next, the chance to see the chimps that live on Ngamba Island in Lake Victoria. Then we travel overland to the off the beaten track Queen Elizabeth Nat. Park. This may not have the numbers of animals that you will find in the Serengeti on a Tanzania safari but it does have the quality, including elephant, leopard, buffallo, lion (four of the big five) and stunning birdlife. Wild camping surrounded by hippos, elephants and lions is the ultimate safari experience. The real joy here is taking a boat safari through the beautiful Kazinga Channel, hippo and buffalo are everywhere and it really is the great africa safari. Finally, for the big game fanatic, it does not get much better than the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Added to all of that, on this adventure holiday, in line with our ethos of responsible tourism, we will also spend some time helping rebuild a school at our flagship community project near Jinja. For those into adrenaline and adventure activities, Jinja also hosts some of the most exciting white-water rafting in the world, down the White Nile as well as quad biking and village walks. OK a Kenya safari might sound exciting but once you have visited Uganda and Rwanda, the whole term safari will leave a little to be desired and you will be hooked on overland travel.
