Norwegian Cruise Line announced that their newest and most innovative ship, the Norwegian Epic, will debue departing from London, England on June 24, 2010. The inaugural seven-day cruise of the 4,200 passenger cruise ship plans to arrive in New York City on July 1, 2010 after its transatlantic sailing.
NCL also announced that a seven-day Eastern Caribbean sailing has been added to the inaugural season departing from Miami on July 10, 2010 an entire week earlier than previously announced.

New Ships Taking Shape |
| Several ships are taking shape at European shipyards. The 3,646-passenger Carnival Dream, Carnival Cruise Lines' largest ship, completed its sea trials in the Adriatic Sea last week and is on track for a Sept. 21 debut in Europe. |

Holland America Line is enabling Alaska cruisers to participate in volunteer work and scientific data collection on an offshore excursion this summer.
Celebrity Solitice will move the Caribbean sailing year round beginning next year. Celebrity Soltice was suppose to return to the Mediterranean after spending this summer there but now will be sailing "closer-to-home vacations for North American travelers. Next summer Soltice will be sailing alternate seven-day Eastern & Western Caribbean and then Eastern only in the winter months.
