 Spectacular scenery awaits you on this 'Emerald Isle' vacation. Start with a drive from Dublin through dairy-farm country to the vibrant city of Galway. Cross the limestone plateau known as The Burren, then savor the breathtaking views of the Cliffs of Moher and the Clare Coast. After ferrying across the Shannon, a panoramic drive takes you around the stunning Ring of Kerry. Spend a night in the popular resort of Killarney before your journey takes you via Blarney to the world-famous Waterford Crystal Factory, Ireland's oldest handweaving mill at Avoca, Glendalough and its ruins of a center of Irish Christianity, and the scenic Wicklow Mountains. Conclude your vacation with an orientation drive through Dublin, which takes in statue-lined O'Connell Street, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Trinity College.

Cross the limestone plateau of The Burren to visit the spectacular 668-foot CLIFFS OF MOHER before heading for Ennis, county town of Clare. Tonight's suggestion for a very special night out: enjoy an optional banquet at Bunratty Castle. (B) | | Day 4 | Killarney | (Wed.) After a short drive via Clonderlaw Bay to Killimer, cross the Shannon estuary by FERRY. Continue on to Killorglin on Dingle Bay to join the spectacular RING OF KERRY for a 100-mile panoramic drive around the island's southwestern tip. Take your photos of the Lakes of Killarney from Ladies View, then spend the night in the popular resort of Killarney. (B,D) | | Day 5 | Waterford | (Thu.) Across the Kerry Mountains and through County Cork to Blarney, renowned for its magical Stone of Eloquence. Time for lunch, to walk up to the castle, and to shop for traditional Irish handicrafts at the famous WOOLEN MILLS. In the afternoon, pass Cork, the country's second-largest city, and Dungarvan on the way to Waterford, a stronghold founded by the Danish Vikings. Before dinner, why not join an optional pub tour? (B,D) | | Day 6 | Dublin | (Fri.) Today hear about Enniscorthy, site of the final battle of the Great Rebellion of 1798. Then visit Ireland's oldest HANDWEAVING MILL at Avoca. Enjoy views of the Wicklow Mountains before arriving at the GLENDALOUGH VISITOR CENTER with its fascinating audiovisual show, Ireland of the Monasteries, and its ruins of a center of Irish Christianity founded by St. Kevin. Back in Dublin this afternoon your orientation drive takes in statue-lined O'Connell Street, elegant Georgian squares, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and Trinity College. Air booked in conjunction with a land vacation is considered an air-inclusive vacation. Air can only be booked by Globus in conjunction with a land package and is only available for passengers traveling from the United States. For vacation departures in 2008, your final air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed when your air schedule had been confirmed and your entire vacation package has been paid in full. For vacation departures in 2009, an additional $250 non-refundable deposit (total $500 non-refundable) is required for air booked in conjunction with any land vacation and your final air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed when your flight information is confirmed and Globus has received your full land and air deposit.
