High over the town center looms a steep mountain that's accessible by cable car. From there, you can gaze over the city and beyond to the wild and desolate surroundings. The scene makes you realize what a frontier town Zacatecas was. In this city out in the middle of nowhere, you will find startlingly good museums, beautiful architecture, and wonderful restaurants.
