01- What is the Independent Agent Program?		This program has been formulated to allow creative individuals to venture into the travel business from their home or place of business without the high costs involved in opening a store front.
02- Will it really be possible to run a travel agency from my home or place of business ?		Yes, without a doubt. The program is ideally suited for home or place of business based operations and with the advanced computer technology available today, opportunities are unlimited .
03- Will I be able to work part time and keep my full time job?		Keep in mind that there is no guarantee that you will succeed immediately. Being a travel agent is a great career, however, there are many curves, turns, and bumps on the road to success. For this reason, we recommend that you keep your present job until you have achieved a sufficient degree of success to warrant a complete transition.
04- How will commissions be paid?		The agent will be responsible for calculating the commissions on a monthly basis or every two weeks if over $1,000.00 has accumulated. On cash sales, the Agent will deduct commission and submit net to Provider.
05- As a provider how do you make money paying such high commissions?		We are in business to make money. The best and only way to answer your question is volume. Suppliers love to see high volume producers and the more we sell the better the deals. We all benefit.
06- Will I have additional perks and benefits?		Once you qualify as required by IATAN you will receive a card that will give you additional discounts on airline tickets, car rentals, tours, fam trips, and cruise line reduced rates.
07- Will my family benefit?		You bet! Suppliers permit family members and travel companions to travel at your reduced rates when you travel together.
08- I have no experience in the travel business. Will I be able to work as a Travel Agent ?		Yes! To be successful in any business you must have a solid plan and the determination to execute it. As in any business venture you will face certain challenges and your ability to solve these problems in a timely manner will be the key to your success. Ace Travel Concepts will be your guide as you set out on this exciting voyage to start and succeed in the travel business. We want you to succeed because then we succeed. You will have zero overhead as you start your new business and, at the same time, have creative freedom to market and package your product. Your role is to follow your plan and work hard to become financially independent in one of the greatest and most rewarding industries in the world.
09- How will I receive my training ?		You will receive our training videos, some basic format and other learning materials . You will have access to agents training programs offered by suppliers at hotel sites, and at sea. These are not free and charges differ depending on dates. You may also attend many of the free programs offered by the public school system in your area.
10- How will I make airline, hotel and car rental reservations?		Our Airline reservation system is Apollo which is the same system used by UNITED AIRLINES. If you are experienced with this system or have received the proper training, the software can be installed in your personal PC.(Review the Focalpoint page). You will have access to the system the same as if you were at a travel agency or The Airline's Reservation Center.
11- Will I be able to use my own name?		It is to your advantage to use your own name. Keep in mind that you are an Independent Agent and you are in full control of your personal customers and can place their reservations with any supplier or agency you choose. In this regard, you maintain your own identity with your clients.
12- Do I have to be bonded?		We are members of ARC/IATAN and are fully bonded. Independent Agents will be able to sell all types of travel under our bond. You might want to check local laws concerning home based businesses in your community .
13- Do I need Errors & Omissions Insurance?		We recommend that you carry E&O coverage and we will need a copy of said policy.
14- How will you handle credit card payments?		We have some very strict rules in place concerning credit card payments and they are there for our mutual protection. All are standard business forms and the necessary ones will be made available to you .
15- Will marketing materials be available?		Cruise Lines and most suppliers are always anxious to send brochures, shells, posters, and just about any sales material that will provide exposure for the Supplier.
16- How much is the initial enrollment fee?		For the total program, not including Dial Up Focalpoint, there is a one time only fee of $379.00. You will immediately be able to reserve all types of travel and start earning full commissions on all sales.
17- We are a church, private club or fund raiser. How will the program benefit our group?		In addition to saving on all travel, please click to Fund-Raising for additional information.
18- Will I be able to hire reservations agents?		Yes. Many Independent Agents/Home Based Business Agents have to hire additional agents.
19- What kind of equipment will I need?		You should have a dedicated phone line and should contact a local reseller to attach a ready 800# to your dedicated phone. I advise that you buy a multiple phone line system to allow for growth and FAX capabilities .
