E-Tickets provides you and our airline partners with an improved, simple method to accommodate your air travel requirements. Most of us realize that we only receive a confirmation number for our vehicle rental or lodging needs. E-Ticketing is simply an extension of that concept. *** New Airline Policy effective 9/1/2002*** Most Airlines charge a mandatory $50.00 surcharge per ticket for any domestic ticket issued as paper when they could be issued as E-Tickets. ***



Step in the Process:

You continue to make your reservation via Travel etc., Inc/American Express, fax or phone. Your seat assignment will be made, depending on carrier and other variables.

An e-ticket will be electronically sent to you for any applicable airline and/or flight.

Photo ID for any travel is critical – you must provide government issued photo identification. Examples include: drivers license, passport, etc.

You will receive an itinerary via email or fax, changed only to include a six-digit confirmation number, which is used by the airline to identify your record. You will not receive a boarding pass since it will be issued to you at the airport as described below.

One electronic or faxed document can now serve as your itenary, your invoice and your receipt as documentation for expense reimbursement.



At the airport, you may:

1.Check your baggage at the curb (have your itinerary or flight information with you) and proceed to the gate (see below for details).

2.Check your baggage at the terminal and receive your boarding pass after you have presented photo identification and confirmation number.



Changes to your plans?

Changes or cancellations to your reservation more than 24 hours before departure should be made as follows:

Virtually any change can be most effectively made by contacting the Travel etc., Inc./American Express during business hours, 8:30am to 5:30pm CST.

Changes or cancellations to your reservation less than 24 hours before departure should be made as follow:

If possible call Travel etc., Inc/American Express as indicated above.

If you call after hours, the representative will have your entire record and can also provide the best alternatives and modify other components (car and lodging) if needed.

Finally, if necessary, you should onctact the airline at either the 800 number or the airport if that is more convenient.

Failure to cancel a flight prior to it's departure can result in the full loss of the far. ALL FLIGHTS must be cancelled if the traveler is not going to make the flight.



Changes or cancellations affect the fare. If the change is made using Travel etc., Inc./American Express or the after hours assistance, you will receive a second E-receipt itinerary if the change required an additional charge or credit. If you completed the change directly with the airline(s), you will receive a receipt for the additional charge or credit directly from the airline.
