French Countryside Itinerary:
Day 1 Paris/Caen Depart Paris in the morning for your three-day tour. Via the Normandy motorway, our first stop is at the Rouen before continuing on to Honfleur. Continuing past the chic seaside resorts of Deauville and Cabourg, we visit the World War II landing beach of Sword, and the Peace Museum in Caen. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Novotel Caen. (D)
Day 2 Caen/Angers Morning departure from Caen in the direction of Bretagne and on to St. Malo where you'll have free time to visit the ramparts. After time for lunch, we depart for the amazing and beautiful Mont-St.-Michel. Upon crossing the causeway, there is a guided visit of the Abbey and free time to explore before going to Angers. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Mercure Lac de Maine. (BB, D)
Day 3 Angers/Paris A full day of elegant, opulent, and magnificent châteaux! Depart Angers in the morning with a short photo stop at Château d'Angers, and continue past Cunault and Saumur. Enjoy a guided tour of the Castle of Langeais before lunch on your own at Amboise. End your châteaux touring with guided visits to the Castel of Chenonceau and Château Chambord (a visit to Cheverny is included when Chambord is closed). Return to Paris at approximately 9 pm.(BB)
