    Day 2Goree IslandIn the morning, explore Metropolitan Dakar. Bargain at the colorful markets including Tilen Market, famous for a variety of medicinal herbs and traditional healers. Visit the National Art Gallery and the picturesque residential district of Medina. In the afternoon, go back in time at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Goree Island which houses "The Door of No Return". Visit the ethnographic museum and hear a lecture by the curator on the history of Goree Island. Later, return to Dakar.

    Day 3Pink LakeEn route to St-Louis tour the natural phenomenon Pink Lake and observe workers harvesting salt. Enjoy, the opening night at the Jazz Festival.

    Day 4St. LouisVisit the Djoudj National Bird Park, which is considered one of the most important bird sanctuaries in the world. Situated on a major palearctic migratory route, this park is a paradise for bird enthusiasts. Some of the world's greatest concentrations of white pelicans and flamingos can be seen here. There are up to 10,000 of each species. Later, in the evening watch world renowned jazz performers such as Randy Weston at the festival.
