| Day 1 | Nairobi | Nairobi On arrival at JKIA, you will be met by a Nature Expeditions representative and transferred to your Hotel in the City. The day will be spent at leisure to relax, allowing your mind and body time to adjust to the dierent time zone. All meals on own account. Overnight at the Panafric Hotel (bed & breakfast). |
| Day 2 | Nakuru | Nairobi / Nakuru After breakfast, depart for the drive through lush tree and coee plantations near Limuru; descend into the Great Rift Valley, arriving at the famous Bird and Rhino Sanctuary of Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you depart for a game drive viewing the big ve, except the elephant. Return to the Lodge at sunset. Dinner and overnight at the Lake Nakuru Lodge (full board). |
| Day 3 | Kisumu | Lake Nakuru / Kisumu After breakfast, you depart for the drive to the now famous Kisumu City driving via the rich Tea farms of Kericho. Proceed to Kisumu arriving in time for lunch at the Imperial Hotel. In the afternoon, depart for a short City tour of the City which includes a visit to the Museum. Displayed here are some of the artifacts and history of the Luo Community and tribes living in Western Kenya. Return for dinner and overnight at the Imperial (full board). |
| Day 4 | Kisumu | Kisumu This morning, you will have a great opportunity of visiting Kogelo Village, Obama's ancestral home. While at the village, you will get a brief talk by a village elder on the history of the village, Luo community at large and a touch on the Obama Family.Villagers here are only too happy to have one of their own on the top seat and will proudly share their views and opinions with you given a chance. Picnic lunch is served while still on the tour of the now well recognized Kogelo Village. Return in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight at the Imperial Hotel (full board). |
| Day 5 | Kisumu | Kisumu After breakfast, transfer to one of the Islands on Lake Victoria, Rusinga Island. Check in at your Hotel and shown to your rooms to freshen up as you await lunch. After lunch , you get a chance to go on a boat ride or mountain biking and a visit to the shing village and fossil site. Later in the evening, you have a sundowner then dinner and overnight at the Rusinga Island Lodge (package). |
| Day 6 | Maasai Mara | Kisumu / Maasai Mara After an early breakfast, drive down to the Mara via Kisii and down to the Worldfamous Maasai Mara Game Reserve, home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa's ultimate wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension to the vast Serengeti -Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. This is a spectacular place of breathtaking sceneries,never-ending plains and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world. The landscape is made up of rolling savannahs dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets. Dinner and overnight Nyumbu Camp (full board). |
| Day 7-8 | Maasai Mara | Maasai Mara Spend a further two days in the Reserve on game drives where wildlife is abundant with the gentle grasslands ensuring that animals are never out of sight. Birds are prolic including immigrants, 450 bird species have been recorded among them 57 birds of prey. Every year the Mara plays host to the world's greatest natural spectacle; The Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti. They converge across the border into the Mara, making a spectacular entrance in a surging column of life that stretches from horizon to horizon. The big cats - lion, leopard, and cheetah - follow the wildebeest, essentially their main source of food, into the Mara. All meals and overnights at the Nyumbu Camp(full board) |
| Day 9 | Departure | Departure Bid farewell to this beautiful reserve and drive back to Nairobi with a game drive en route. Arrive in good time for lunch on own account and later transferred to JKIA for your outbound |
