| Day 2 | Denali | Anchorage - Denali: Journey between the mountains of the spectacular Alaska and Talkeetna ranges on an incomparable sightseeing experience aboard our deluxe motor coach. Take in the wide-open scenery as you travel through the Matanuska Valley, a farming region known for mammoth vegetables; past colorful towns like Wasilla, billed as the "Home of the Iditarod;" and along scenic rivers like the Susitna, which means "Mother River". By afternoon you arrive in Denali National Park. Here, you can choose from a wide range of optional activities like river rafting, helicopter flightseeing, or horseback riding. Overnight Denali. |
| Day 3 | Fairbanks | Denali - Fairbanks: Take time this morning to choose from one of many complimentary park-sponsored activities and optional Denali tours including guided hikes plus white-water rafting, fixed-wing flightseeing and horseback riding. Later, board luxury railcars and travel deeper into Alaska's lovely interior. This portion of the route includes many scenic highlights including the town of Nenana, where the Nenana Ice Classic competitors attempt to predict the date of ice breakup on the river; and the Mears Memorial Bridge which is one of the largest single span railroad bridges in the United States. There's time for dinner in the elegant dining room before arriving in Fairbanks. Here, you'll be met at the depot and transferred to a downtown hotel (accommodations not included). |
