Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to the charming hotel Grano de Oro. | | Day 2 | Monteverde | SAN JOSE-MONTEVERDE : Early departure for an scenic 3-hour climb up the cool mountains to the Cloud Forest areas of Monteverde. Afternoon visit to the Park and guided walk. Overnight HOTEL MONTEVERDE or FONDA VELA (B) | | Day 3 | Monteverde | MONTEVERDE : Morning guided 4-hour walking tour of the Cloud Forest (bring comfortable walking boots or sneakers). Some 6 different ecological systems of flora and fauna, 320 varieties of birds and over 100 of mammals can be found in this area. Afternoon visit the Sky Trek -which is a system of trails, suspension bridges, and ziplines built within the Monteverde Cloud Forest that offers visitors the opportunity to observe and appreciate tropical forests from different vantage points.
SkyTrek offers the opportunity to observe and appreciate tropical forests from different vantage points. A suspended bridge 90 meters (300 feet) long and 20 meters (66 feet) high, will give you the best view of the inner forest. Besides, you can have a panoramic view (360°) of the Guanacaste, San Carlos and Puntarenas lowlands.
Four transversal cables 190 meters (63 feet) and 214 meters (713 feet) long run along the tree tops two inside, two outside. The hole system is integrated by a path 2.300 meters long (7000 feet).
