Southeast Aviation flies to over 150 remote locations featuring U.S. Forest Service cabins in the Tongass National Forest that can be rented for an overnight breather, a week-long fishing, hunting, hiking and photo expedition, or even a 10-day off-season stay that is guaranteed to stir the soul and awaken the senses.

Equipment: At Southeast Aviation, the DeHavilland Beaver floatplane is designed to allow you ample room to stow the gear you'll need at your Forest Service cabin.

Our floatplanes are equipped to seat six passengers with a total gear-and-passengers load not to exceed 1,200 pounds. Suggested equipment:

Campstove, lantern, matches and fuel*

4 hp outboard motor and life vests*

Cooking utensils*

Sleeping bags, pads

No more than 5 duffle bags

Ice chests* for food (extra day of food suggested)

Fishing equipment

Rain gear, rubber boots and/or water sandals

Bottled water (wilderness water must be boiled 5 minutes prior to drinking)

*Outboard motors from Alaska Outboard and additional wilderness equipment from Alaska Wilderness Outfitting can be rented and pre-delivered to our downtown waterfront headquarters.
