    DayDestinationDescription
Day 1Depart USA New York / Delhi : Depart New York for Delhi, India.
Day 2DelhiArrive in Delhi D,: Arrive in Delhi. Your tour guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. Delhi, the capital of India, has been the seat of power of a number of dynasties - the Rajputs, the Afghans, the Turks and the Mughals who continued their imperial line until the British. Scattered over are surviving ruins, remnants of mighty edifices, tombs of warriors and saints, which in an impressive sense of magnificence are memorials not of a single city but of supplanted nations.
Day 3VaranasiDelhi - Varanasi B,: After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Varanasi. A crumbling maze of a city that rises from the ghats (steps) on the western banks of the Ganges, Varanasi is in many senses the quintessential India. With an ancient history - Mark Twain famously described it as "older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend, and looks twice as old as all of them put together" - it is also one of the most sacred cities in the world today. Named after the confluence of two rivers, Varuna and Asi, the city is centered on the ghats that line the waterfront, each honoring Shiva in the form of a linga - the rounded phallic-like shaft of stone found on every ghat. Cruise the waterfront at dawn and you will witness the most surreal scenes, when devotees come to bathe, meditate, and perform ancient rituals to greet the sun. Or even come at sunset, when pundits (priests) at Dasashwamedh Ghat perform arti (prayer ritual) with complicated fire rituals, and pilgrims light candles to float along the sacred waters. Today you will first visit Banaras Hindu University as this holy city has long been a center of learning, and then Bharat Mata Temple. Later in the evening you will witness Pooja ceremony (Arti) on Ganges Ghats.
Day 4VaranasiVaranasi B,: You will start you day early in the morning with a boat ride on Ganges River. The boat stops at the Bathing Ghat & the Cremation Ghats. Return to hotel for breakfast. Then you will take a half day excursion to Sarnath - the place where Lord Buddha after enlightenment gave his first sermon.
Day 5KhajurahoVaranasi - Khajuraho B,: You will wake up early to take a Yoga and Meditation class and lecture on Hinduism. After Breakfast you will be transferred to the airport to board flight for Khajuraho. On arrival transfer to your hotel. Later take a half day city tour of temples: the Kandariya Mahadev, Matangeshwara temple, the Lakshman, the Devi Jagdamba, the Chaunsath Yogini, and the Jain temples of Parasnath, Adinath, Shantinagh, and Ghantai.
Day 6OrchhaKhajuraho - Orchha B,: After breakfast at hotel, you will be driven to Orchha. On arrival check in to the hotel. Evening at leisure.
Day 7JhanstOrchha - Jhanst B,: After breakfast at hotel, you will visit Temples of Orchha. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Jhansi railway station to board train for Agra. On arrival, be transferred to hotel.
Day 8AgraAgra B,: Visit Taj Mahal early in the morning. With its incredible lacy white grandeur the Taj Mahal is perhaps the most perfect architectural monument in the world. To the poet Tagore it was a "tear on the face of eternity". In memory of his wife the great Mughal emperor Shah Jehan constructed this most extravagant and incomparable monument built for love. Amazingly graceful from any angle, it is the close up detail, which is really astounding. After breakfast at hotel, you will then proceed to visit Agra Fort, which is situated on the banks for the river Yamuna, another monumental mission accomplished by the great Mughal visionary Emperor Akbar. His son and grandson added to this imposing structure during their rule. The Palaces, mosques and audience halls contained within its massive wall of red sandstone are perfect examples of blending Islamic and Hindu traditions. Later in the afternoon, you will enjoy demonstrations of Marble craftsmanship the inlay work of precious and semi precious stones.
Day 9JapurAgra - Japur B,: After breakfast in the hotel, you will be driven to Jaipur, en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned red sandstone city built in the 16th century by the Mughal Emperor Akbar, one of India's greatest rulers. Upon arrival at Jaipur, you will check in to the hotel and then experience the carpet weaving, the block printing and more crafts of Rajasthan.
Day 10JaipurJaipur B,: The day begins with a visit to the Amber fort, the former seat of the Rajput rulers of Jaipur. Ascending the fortress seated on the elephant (subject to availability), wander around the beautiful palaces and visit the Shiladevi temple with its exquisite marble carvings and silver door. Afternoon visit the Pink City which includes Hawa Mahal: the palace of winds (Photo-stop), Jantar Mantar: the open-air royal observatory, with gigantic, astronomical instruments; and the City Palace Museums which contains the original collection of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Evening enjoy a Gem-cutting & polishing demonstration as Jaipur is one of the world's most noted gem producers. Thereafter you will have a Rickshaw ride thru old part of Pink city.
Day 11DelhiJaipur - Delhi B,: After breakfast, you will be driven to Delhi. Upon arrival, you will visit Qutub Minar- the tower of victory started by Qutub-Ud-Din-Aibak in 1199AD upon becoming sultan of Delhi, Lotus temple- this distinctive lotus shaped marvel in Marble is a symbol of peace, India Gate -the war memorial and Presidents House (From outside). After the tour, you will be transferred to Delhi international airport for your flight back to USA.
