Q. WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES CAN I EXPECT?
A. In addition to planned group events*, there will be other enrichment seminars hosted by distinguished guest experts. In addition to lectures highlighting the history and excursions available for the ports of call you will be visiting, there may also be special presentations such as galley tours and art auctions.
Carnival Capers, the shipboard's activity newspaper, will be delivered to your stateroom nightly highlighting all the activities being offered on board, as well as meal times and dining options. Also see what else I can expect.
Q. DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITES?
A. Feel free to participate in as much or as little as you wish, but we would love for you to join in on the fun!
Q. IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE?
A. Yes. Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or guardian 25 years or older in the same stateroom. Infants must be at least 4 months of age to be eligible to travel.
Q. ARE THERE BABYSITTERS AVAILABLE?
A. Yes! As a special aid to parents, group babysitting is available in the evenings from 10 PM to 3 AM for children 11 and under. The cost is $6.00 per hour per child ($4.00 for each additional sibling), but subject to change. In port, group daytime babysitting is available for infants two and under. Other restrictions apply and vary by cruise line.
Q. IS THERE A CHILDREN'S PROGRAM?
A. Yes! If your children enjoy swimming, sports, games, movies, and the adventure of new places and friends, they'll love a family cruise. Camp Carnival is a fabulous benefit to parents, because while you enjoy time alone, you can relax knowing your children are enjoying an incredible choice of exciting activities in the care of Carnival's highly trained counselors.
There are four age groups as well as planned family activities. TODDLERS (2-5) JUNIORS (6-8)
INTERMEDIATE (9-11) & TEENS (12-15)

Q. ARE THE CHILDREN'S COUNSELORS TRAINED?
A. Yes! The trained youth counselors will help keep your children safe, busy and entertained. All counselors are college-educated in a related field, have professional child care experience, or both.
Q. *CAN I BOOK THE CCT theme Cruises directly through Carnival?
A. No. In order to enjoy the special events and activities and dine with the group, you must book your cruise through Central Coast Travel. All booking agents of Central Coast Travel are trained and certified with the Cruise Line International Association.
Q. WILL I BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD WHILE I'M ON MY CRUISE?
A. It depends on your cell phone coverage. Most cell phones are accessible at the departing port. Your friends and family can also call you via Shore-to-ship by dialing 1-877-225-7447. A nominal per minute charge applies.
You can also send and receive e-mail in the ship's 24 hour internet café. You can even send pictures of your cruise!
Q. CAN I REQUEST A SPECIAL DIET?
A. Certain diet requests are available and should be requested at time of booking as well as to your head waiter on the first night of the cruise. There are low fat options in the dining room on the Nautica Spa Menu.
Q. CAN I MAKE SPECIAL DINING REQUEST?
A. Yes. You can ask to be seated with other passengers that you know will be aboard the ship. Be sure to make your request at time of booking; however dining requests are not guaranteed and based on availability.
Q. WHAT ABOUT DISABLED, PREGNANT OR SPECIAL NEED PASSENGERS?
A. Carnival will try to accommodate guests with special needs,
although, guests entering their 3rd trimester of pregnancy will not be permitted to sail. Please inform your booking agent at time of booking what your special needs are. You can also call 1-800-438-6744 ext. 70025 to discuss the details of your specific needs.
Q. IS THERE A CHARGE FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT?
A. NO. The shows are live, films are first-rate and all planned group events* and other onboard entertainment is included in your cruise fare!
Q. CAN I BRING MY LAPTOP,HAIR DRYER OR OTHER ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE?
A. Bring them with you by all means. Staterooms are equipped with a 110 volt AC and is capable of handling all normal appliances such as electric razors, hair dryers, and hot curlers. Some appliances may require use of an adapter.
Q. CAN WE BOOK A PRE &/OR POST HOTEL PACKAGE?
A. Yes. Call Central Coast Travel for Pre &/or Post Hotel options.
Q. WHAT ARE THE I.D. REQUIREMENTS?
A. Photo identification is required for all guests 16 or older. All U.S. Citizens require a passport. Please log on to http://travel.state.gov/passport for passport requirements. Central Coast Travel strongly recommends obtaining a passport now.
Non U.S. Citizens require a valid passport and visas (when necessary) in addition to an Alien Registration Card (ARC or “Green” Card) if an individual is a Resident Alien living in the U.S.
Q. CAN I GET INSURANCE?

Q. WHAT SHOULD I PACK?
A. Pack like you would for any resort. Your cruise vacation is casual by day both onboard and ashore. At the Captain's Gala, however, we suggest dark suit and tie for the men and a cocktail dress or pantsuit for the women.

Q. WILL I GET SEA SICK?
A. People rarely get seasick as the cruise ships have stabilizers and have access to advance weather systems now. However, you may want to ask your Doctor. or pharmacist for a recommendation if you are still concerned. You can also ask the ship's Doctor in the infirmary onboard.
Q. WHAT ABOUT TRANSPORTATION?
A. Transfers are available one way or round trip from airport to the pier and should be requested at time of booking, but can be added up to 90 days prior to the sail date.
