We can pick you up at the airport and help you manage the hassle of getting to your hotel. The next day, after an included breakfast, adventure off on your first game drive at Maasai Mara National Reserve - the most famous game area in Kenya. This reserve has a strong permanent population of wildlife, so stay on the lookout for the 'Big 5' - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and Cape buffalo. You will spend two full days at this reserve. Next, fly south for a quick stop in South Africa's capital city of Johannesburg before heading to Zimbabwe. A trip to Africa wouldn't be complete without experiencing Victoria Falls. We've arranged for you to have a private, guided walk of the mighty falls and a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, where you'll have an opportunity to take photographs of the wildlife and sip on a drink as you watch a spectacular African sunset-the perfect ending to a day of discovery! Finally, fly into beautiful Cape Town where your Local Host will take you on a private tour of the city's highlights. Ascend to the top of Table Mountain, visit the penguins at Boulders Beach, and stop at the Cape of Good Hope - the southernmost point on the African continent. The following day is free to explore on your own or you can join an optional excursion. Consider a visit to the beautiful Cape winelands for a magical day winery visits and tastings. From June to December you can also choose to go whale-watching in Hermanus, the self-proclaimed whale-watching capital of the world.With Monograms, your dream vacation to Africa doesn't feel so far out of reach. |Day 2||Maasai Mara National Reserve Area||Today, drive to MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE, Kenya's most famous game area. Stop for lunch en route before embarking on your first GAME DRIVE in search of the 'Big 5'-lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and Cape buffalo. (B,L,D)|
|Day 3||Maasai Mara Area||Your Driver/Guide navigates you on MORNING & AFTERNOON GAME DRIVES in the 'Mara,' as it is called by the locals. Part of the Serengeti ecosystem, the reserve boasts a strong permanent population of game. When the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra arrives, generally between August and early November, the population enlarges by almost 2 million. This provides a great food source for predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, and hyena. |Day 4||Maasai Mara Area||Further explore this magical place during MORNING & AFTERNOON GAME DRIVES. Watch for elephant, rhino, topi, cheetah, and more. Between drives, enjoy leisure time to relax. (B,L,D)|
|Day 5||Johannesburg||After breakfast, board a plane for the quick flight back to Nairobi. Transfer to the international airport for your flight to Johannesburg. (B)|
|Day 6||Victoria Falls||Today, fly north to Zimbabwe. This evening, enjoy a CRUISE on the Zambezi River, which affords you a great opportunity to photograph wildlife and a spectacular Africa sunset. (B)|
|Day 7||Victoria Falls||Today, visit mighty VICTORIA FALLS for an awe-inspiring experience. Enjoy a PRIVATE GUIDED WALK, where you will learn the history of the falls and hear fascinating details about the surrounding flora and fauna. The remainder of the day is at your leisure. (B) NOTE: During the dry season (September-December) and during dry years, water flow to Victoria Falls may be low.|
|Day 8||Cape Town||Today, fly to beautiful Cape Town (via Johannesburg), widely referred to as the 'Mother City' by locals. (B)|
|Day 9||Cape Town||Start your PRIVATE GUIDED TOUR with a CABLE-CAR RIDE up Table Mountain (weather permitting). Here, you will enjoy stunning views of the city and its surroundings. Next, stop at Boulders Beach, where you will visit a COLONY OF ENDANGERED AFRICAN PENGUINS, known for the unique sound they make. After lunch, continue to CAPE POINT NATURE RESERVE. Stop at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point, the southwesternmost point of the African continent, for incredible panoramic views. On your return journey, skirt the rocky coastline as you ascend Chapman's Peak Drive, one of the most spectacular drives in the world, then continue through the fishing village of Hout Bay. Booking your Vacation with Air
For air departure dates within 331 days, you'll be offered a choice of carriers and flight schedules as well as price points to choose from when selecting your flights. Your schedule will be provided to you at the time of booking (schedules are subject to change by carriers). Monograms offers 2 air options: Flex Air and Instant Purchase Air. Flex Air allows flexibility if you want to make changes to your vacation schedule. Instant Purchase Air may offer additional airline options but has more restrictions. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option. Guaranteed air-inclusive prices: air is only available to passengers traveling from the United States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land vacation. An additional $300 per person non-refundable air deposit is required for Flex Air booked in conjunction with any land vacation (i.e. air-inclusive vacation). Air can only be booked by Monograms in conjunction with a vacation package. Instant Purchase Air requires air payment in full at time of booking (i.e. air-inclusive vacation) plus non-refundable service fee ($30 per person for North America, $80 per person for South Pacific, $50 per person for all other destinations). Once booked, Instant Purchase Air is non-refundable, and non-changeable. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option. However, once your airfare is confirmed and Monograms has received your full air and land deposit, your air-inclusive vacation price is guaranteed.
Air-Inclusive Vacations - Applicable Taxes & Fees
Air-inclusive vacations include government-imposed taxes and fees applicable at the time of booking and will be shown as a Total Amount. Additional airline fees for baggage may apply. At the time of booking your air-inclusive vacation online, carrier Websites will be provided to check baggage fees, or you can visit www.iflybags.com for up-to-date baggage pricing/restrictions. For return travel from some countries, international travelers are required to pay entry and/or exit fees at the airport. These fees will be collected by the local government and are payable by the traveler at time of travel. Your confirmation booking information will contain information about these fees.
