Detroit from HIA.  The flights in the am they have to offer are – 740a through Minneapolis arrives Vegas 1257p or 920a through Detroit arrives 145p?  Will either work for you? I know you wanted to get there and golf.  If not, they will refund the tickets and we will have to start over again.

Here is the text from a recent email, unfortunately not a happy story, but one I'll be using in the future to support the use of a great travel agency like Uniglobe:

I'm going through some of my old e-mails and wanted to comment on business travel arrangements. I had booked flights in the fall through Orbitz.com. We got relatively good deals on the tickets BUT, in the end those tickets cost the institution money. When we arrived in Chicago to transfer to another carrier to go to Madison Wisconsin, the flight we were supposed to take had been canceled. In the end, we had to rent a car and drive the rest of the way ourselves. We made it, but when we returned home and tried to obtain a reimbursement for the canceled flight, NO ONE took responsibility. Not Orbitz (they had us listed as having taken the canceled flight, not US Air (the tickets were booked by Orbitz through USAir) and not United (the actual carrier). I tried for three days trying to talk with someone about this problem but only got machines and people in India (outsourcing the complaint department). VERY frustrating.

Having had that experience, I would urge anyone traveling to book with a travel agent like Uniglobe. At least then you will have someone to call if there is a problem along the way. It may seem like you could get a cheaper ticket on-line but "buyer beware".

Thanks for hammering out this agreement with Uniglobe. I'll be using them in the future.
