Integrating OLA Content into Your Non Hosted Site

 

 

 

If your website is not hosted by Online Agency and you use another service provider to host your site, this guide will explain how to add links from your existing website into OLA content.

 

There are 3 types of links that will be reviewed:

 

Start by logging in to your Online Agency (OLA) account:
Go to http://login.onlineagency.com
Enter the email address and the password you chose during registration and click "login"

 

Now that you're logged into your account, you'll be on your "Dashboard", which is your main Online Agency account page.

 

 

Links to your custom pages within OLA                                                                      

 

1. Adding a link to your OLA Home Page:

-From your Dashboard, click on "pages of content" in the "your site" section of the page.

-This will bring you to the editable version of your main OLA page (also called your OLA home page).
-Click the "create link" link in the "options" section of the yellow toolbar on the side of the page.

-This will bring you to a page that will provide you with the HTML you will need.

-At the bottom of the page you will see an area where the HTML for you link will appear. You can copy the entire string and paste it into the HTML of your website. It will be formatted like this:
<a href="THE LINK WILL BE HERE">THE LINK TITLE WILL BE HERE<a>

 

If you want to include an image as part of your link:

-Select the image from the "link image" section of the page and click the green "update" button. This will update the HTML for your link with a path to the image you chose.

2. Adding a link to additional custom pages you created using OLA:

-From your Dashboard, click on "pages of content" in the "your site" section of the page.

-This will bring you to the editable version of your main OLA page (also called your OLA home page).

-A list of your custom pages you created using OLA will appear in the "site map" section at the top of the yellow toolbar on the side of the page.

-Click on the name of the page you want to link to.

-Click the "create link" link in the "options" section of the yellow toolbar on the side of the page.

-This will bring you to a page that will provide you with the HTML you will need.

-At the bottom of the page you will see an area where the HTML for you link will appear. You can copy the entire string and paste it into the HTML of your website. It will be formatted like this:

Links to OLA Network Content pages                                                                          

 

-From your Dashboard, click on "pages of content" in the "your site" section of the page.

-This will bring you to the editable version of your main OLA page (also called your OLA home page).
-Click the "
all pages" link in the "view" section at the top of the yellow tool bar on the side of the page.
-This page displays a list of all the OLA content available to you. Click on the
Place to Go, Activity & Interest, or Supplier that you want to link to. (For instance if you wanted to create a link that would go to Royal Caribbean's content, you would click on the "Royal Caribbean" link in the "cruises" section of the page.)

-When you have clicked through to the content you want to link to, click the "create link" link in the "options" section of the yellow toolbar on the side of the page.

-This will bring you to a page that will provide you with the HTML you will need.

-At the bottom of the page you will see an area where the HTML for you link will appear. You can copy the entire string and paste it into the HTML of your website. It will be formatted like this:

What are Extras?                                                                                                             

 

OLA Extras are a set of "widgets" that you can use to enhance your site and add interesting ways to link into OLA Content from your site. Different types of Extras include:

 

FORMS:

This category of extras contains a variety of different search boxes. By placing them on your site, your users can search through the OLA Network content from our Suppliers. 

 

For example: Cruise Search, Package Search, Tour Search, Multi-search (which searches across all content) etc…

 


OTHER:

Lists of Included or Featured Suppliers

Based on which Suppliers you select to be included and featured on your site, you can choose to show lists (with either plain text links or logos with links) of these Suppliers on your site. This will allow your users to link directly to all the content from your favorite suppliers.

 

For example: "Cruise Suppliers Box" will provide you with the HTML for all of the included Cruise Suppliers in your account.  "Top Cruise Suppliers" will provide you with the HTML for all of the featured Cruise Suppliers in your account. If you want to change your Supplier settings, click the "Supplier Wizard" link in the Wizards section of your Dashboard.

 

    

 

Cruising Close to Home

This is a graphic you can use to link your users directly to cruises grouped by port.

 

 

SEARCH BUTTONS:

There are 3 buttons available here that will allow you to link your customers directly to Cruises under a specified dollar amount. Available buttons are Cruises Under $1500, Under $1000 and Under $600.

 

SUPPLIER LINKS:

This area contains links directly to the content of many of our network Suppliers' content.

 

 

 

Adding Extras to Your Site                                                                                             

 

-To access the HTML for Extras, from your Dashboard click on "site" in the top navigation bar.
-Click on the "extras" link.

 

There are 2 ways you can find the extras you want to use.

1. Browse through the list of Extras using the "previous" and "next" buttons.

2. Use the category pull-down menu and the search buttons to search.

 

VERY IMPORTANT: You MUST select the "external site" radio button BEFORE you click on an extra name. If you do not follow this step, the links in your HTML for your Extra WILL NOT WORK.

 

-Click on a title of one of the Extras to preview it and access the HTML. (Make sure you have followed the step above.)
-When you find the Extras you'd like to use, you can copy the HTML from the "code" box and paste it into your site.

-When you're done copying the HTML, click the "ok" button. If you're going to select another Extra, make sure you select the "external site" radio button again.
